David Slaney breaks out of prison after 5 years under the pretense that he is working undercover for renegade detective Roy Patterson in an effort to help apprehend Slaney's old drug cartel partner Brian Hearn.

Hearn sends Slaney to Montreal to pick up money for a new deal, but Slaney has more than one reason to visit that city, and an old business acquaintance is up to no good.

Slaney arrives at Hearn's home in Cancun, and Patterson and KC go undercover to follow hot on his heels.

Slaney and Hearn prepare to meet a new supplier. Hearn enlists Ada to uncover what Slaney's real intentions are. Tensions run high as Slaney, Patterson and KC attempt to keep their true identities under wraps.

Slaney (Allan Hawco) heads to Colombia with Ada (Tori Anderson) to pick up Hearn's (Eric Johnson) money. With the DEA and the RCMP closing in on them, Slaney and Hearn face off in the explosive season one finale.
