Pierre Manzano is facing a huge power outage. He soon realises that something is badly wrong. Frauke Michelsen, deputy director of the German Crisis Committee, is in the middle of a nightmare.

Pierre comes face to face with the police, who ask him about his past as a hacker. Frauke, exhausted from looking for his daughters, confronts the executives of the central European energy companies.

The daughters are still missing, but Frauke continues to work hard to keep everything under control, and realises that the problems are just piling up.

Pierre arrives at the hospital in Berlin, but CID follows right on his hocks. Frauke must make decisions to avoid a nuclear accident.

Pierre has managed to find his old gang of friends. Conversation about the past brings emotions to the surface. The reunion of Frauke's family is interrupted by creepy news.

Frauke and members of the crisis unit are working feverishly to get diesel and avoid a nuclear accident. Pierre helps CID, so he has to admit that he knows more than he has suggested.
