Venice finals kick off with the return of the dreaded Salmon Ladder. The infamous climbing obstacle has dashed the hopes of countless competitors with its emphasis on upper-body strength, hand-eye coordination and pin-point muscle control. This two-hour episode features the second half of the qualifying round held in Venice Beach, California. Competitors must tackle six obstacles in the qualifying round and on this course they face four brand new obstacles including the Frame Slider, Domino Hill, Chain Swing and Flying Nun Chucks. Returning fan favorites in Venice include parkour enthusiasts Kyle Cochran and Brent Steffensen. Competitors vie for a chance to win a cash prize of 500,000 dollars and the title "American Ninja Warrior."

Travel back to Baltimore, Maryland for part one of the finals course where competitors tackle ten obstacles, including brand new obstacles the Rumbling Dice and Body Prop. There are 30 athletes that passed through the qualifying course and will have to prove themselves once again in order to earn a trip to Las Vegas.

Miami athletes bring the heat for the first qualifying round in their region.

In the second half of the Venice Finals, only the top finalist will continue to move on to Vegas. The first female to compete in the Venice semi-finals, Jessie Graff hopes that her stuntwoman skills will lead her to Vegas.
