Katherine and the team bring in crisis manager Ian Osofsky to help combat the negative publicity the company is receiving from accusations it covered up defective auto parts.

Ian and Sadie attempt to rehab Katherine's image from the pawl controversy by staging a phony video with Katherine's family and a visit to "Late Night with Seth Meyers."

After Kevin Costner drops out, the team has to find another celebrity who is willing to represent Payne Motors. Jack gets an interview for a management position.

In an effort to reduce costs, Jack, Cyrus, and Elliot have to let go of some employees while Wesley and Dori search for office savings; Sadie helps prep Katherine for her first post-crisis TV interview.

In talking about what he's learned in his management class, Jack is able to convince Katherine that the company should invest more in green technology if only to spur interest in their stock, with the expected end result of an increase in the stock price. A media release solely with scant details of the amount they will invest in green tech but not in what does do the trick of an immediate bump in the stock price. But they discover that they have to put some substance into the information with the possibility that the price could drop even more than than it increased ...

A group of employees have written an open letter voicing their concern about the company's lack of a pro-abortion policy, including the issues of the company currently providing donations to politicians with anti-abortion sentiments, the signatories who see a women's right to choose being equivalent to women's equal participation in society, and what supports the company would provide for employees choosing to have an abortion. Multiple things go wrong when the team visits a science fair at Jack's old school.

Payne Motors is hacked, and the hackers gain access to Katherine's private data. Sadie and Jack get trapped in a vehicle testing area. Wesley forgets the password to his Bitcoin wallet.

Things get weird when Katherine invites the team over to her house for drinks.

Katherine purchases a new expensive AI software. Wesley clashes with Dori about portraits of his Payne ancestors. Cyrus invites Katherine to get involved in his passion project that he's been secretly doing for years.

When Wesley's granddad, Franklin Payne, dies, Katherine and team learn the heirs plan to sell their company shares; and do what they can to save their jobs.

It's the day for the Payne Pika to finally be unveiled. Wesley keeps interrupting Jack's conversations with various car dealership owners; while Sadie scrambles to edit the slideshow before the event. Katherine faces her fear of rabbits.

Katherine and her team make one last effort to raise the Payne stock price by rallying behind the launch of the Pika, but she loses hope when global events cause the whole market to crash.
