Ben and Semir must protect an architect, whose blueprints hold a secret crucial to a certain Raoul's monstrous plan. Also, Semir's ex-partner, André Fux, returns after being presumed dead, and Andrea has second thoughts about her marriage.

Following Semir's failure to reconcile with his wife, a fatal car accident spurs an investigation when some footage of an alleged Asian human trafficking ring is discovered.

The daughter of DA Schrankmann becomes part of a serial kidnapping investigation when some of her friends start disappearing, leaving behind birthday cards in their wake.

Ben and Jenny must investigate a backstage murder at a concert featuring local punk band The Brushes, while at the same time keeping the musicians out of harm's way. Meanwhile, Semir takes a short leave to Mallorca.

The daughter of a convicted pharmacist tries to exonerate her father, but is also swept into the hands of a small, yet vicious, drug trafficking operation. Also, Semir and Andrea try marriage counseling.

The group of delinquents Semir was once a part of start being killed off one by one, and Semir chooses to investigate, despite knowing he is a potential target. Meanwhile, Andrea and Semir finalize their divorce.

An inter-agency effort in the hunt for Sam Turner, a former LAPD detective presumed deceased for two years, reveals a hidden agenda among one of the visiting officers. Hartmut struggles in secret with a recent breakup.

As Alex recognizes the face of a criminal thought to have been killed in a previous arrest, a dark secret begins to slowly unravel itself.
