During a climbing trip in the Eifel mountains, Ben and Semir witness a group of commandos killing an unidentified man. The cops manage to escape, but afterwards, the man's body has gone. A cryptic message written in the forest ground leads to Oliver Sturm, who runs an online community that focuses on conspiracy theories, a quite ridiculous person. Ben and Semir do not believe him, and even make fun of him, until he shows them a video which was uploaded to the website by the victim prior to his death: a man dies during a medical experiment. A patient is kidnapped from the hospital. It's Tanja. Someone from Semir's past. She just came out of a seven year coma.

At a firm designing computer games, all designers are shot dead. Only Lara, someone Hartmut knows through Internet games, escapes.

During a drugs-raid in a discotheque, Kim Krüger is knocked unconscious. When she wakes, Thomas Reinhardt, a dealer, is shot with her gun. His father puts 1 million on her head.
