Steven has an argument with the neighbor, Susan offers him some cryptic yet prophetic advice. Then Steven and Michelle begin their search for the little boy.

As Steven and Michelle continue their search for the little boy, they encounter two of the dreaded Trainers!

Steven takes care of some "personal business" then learns an unsettling truth about the world from his old friend, Elizabeth.

Steven wanders aimlessly but runs into trouble by the beach, he evades a duo of Trainers only to witness them attack an innocent woman.

After witnessing the Trainers attack on an innocent woman, Steven runs home only to have his patience put to the test by a crazy woman... So he shoots her.

Steven decides to take a stroll to the pizza shop. Along the way he bumps into The Cop (just looking for a change of scenery). Steven then encounters someone else he never expected to meet, and she makes him an offer he can't refuse.

Steven and Michelle share a post-coital moment and discuss the plight of the world. Their conversation is interrupted when Steven has a prophetic vision and bolts from the apartment.

Two Trainers attack a lonely Singing Woman. Steven and Michelle are forced to abandon their search for the little boy when the Trainers come for them.

Steven and Michelle enlist The Cop to help in the search. Then an encounter with Mr. & Mrs. Reynolds leads to a shocking discovery.

Elizabeth, alerted by the altercation between Michelle and Mrs. Reynolds, arrives offering her medical assistance to the wounded Mrs. Reynolds.

Now joined by Elizabeth, Steven, Michelle and The Cop continue their search for the boy. Along the way, they meet a Stranger with a curious knowledge of the mysterious prophecy that refers to the little boy.

After countless hours of searching the group decides that a calculated retreat is in order. Steven recalls the night the world went away.

Steven dreams about the night that his son left and how he was powerless to stop it. His slumber is interrupted by Lawrence and Xavier (his only true friends in the world) looking for something to eat.

Steven rallies the troops at the behest of Lawrence and Xavier to head to the pizza shop. He is stopped, once again by Susan, but this time she insists that she join them.

Steven and his reluctant band of searches make their way to the pizza shop. There they discuss several startling discoveries and the ramifications.

The revelation and conversation is halted by an earthquake shock that shakes the entire shop. Steven and his companions exit the shop only to find out that the earthquake shock was the result of something completely different.
