Whitney, a stand-up comic, is accused of stealing jokes because she's afraid she's not good enough on her own. She is confronted about this while getting some scary news about her family, which challenges her to make a hard decision. Whitney gets confronted by her ex-girlfriend and fellow comedian Autumn for stealing jokes from her set. Whitney's new girlfriend Alisha intervenes, but then Whitney gets news from her father that her brother Bill has gotten in trouble with the law for robbery. Will Whitney come home and put her comedy career on hold?
