The young Sioux, little Yakari, recounts the story of how he met Little Thunder, his spirited and intelligent pony-friend, and his protector, the Great Eagle.

Yakari was given a feather from Great Eagle, but his father explains that he must earn his right to wear an eagle feather and bring proof to the tribe.

Undoubtedly, Little Thunder is the fastest pony in his team, however, after an unintentional, yet ungrateful insult, only the Great Eagle's wise words will bring him back to the tribe.

A fearsome and solitary hunter thirsts for revenge against the mighty leader of the pack, while Yakari wants to help man and wolf finally make peace with one another.

After the end of the hunting season, a pregnant female buffalo disappears, while a hungry wolf and his pack are already after the helpless mother. Will Yakari make it in time?

While wandering in the forest picking berries, Yakari, Buffalo Seed and Rainbow encounter a strange big bird which makes a crash landing in the river.

Mic-Mac, a manipulative crow, orders about the absent-minded member of the tribe, Slow Strider, who walks around the forest completely mesmerised. Can Yakari stop Mic-Mac's cruel game?

A nimble and crafty animal steals the meat under the tribe's nose, however, how do you catch a creature which leaves no tracks in the snow? Only Yakari's friend, the grizzly bear, could help.

The Sioux village is surprised in winter by winds which swell to a blizzard. Slow and elderly villagers need help. Chief and shaman The-One Who Knows gets lost. Warned by crows, Yakari and Little Big-Shot mount a search and rescue mission.

During a fishing trip, Yakari falls in the river while trying to save a helpless bear cub and loses his memory. Will the selfless boy get his memory back?

An angry Great Eagle knocks unconscious one of the tribe's hunters and takes his talisman, so Yakari and a white-fleeced goat set off to the dangerous high mountains to find the nest. What provoked the otherwise peaceful Great Eagle?

A playful but careless sea-creature gets trapped in a small pond next to the beavers' dam and is unable to return to the river. How can Yakari free the large and heavy mammal?

To no avail, Yakari tries to brighten the dejected young Linden who finds out that the leaves die every autumn. Meanwhile, an enormous serpentine figure appears in the river. Could that cheer him up?

To save himself, a naughty flying squirrel who disturbed the wolverine's sleep promises to teach him how to fly. Ridiculed, the hairy beast sets a devious trap for Yakari. What is he going to do?

After the catastrophic result during a fast race between Yakari and Rainbow down the river, Yakari and the mischievous little rascal, Linden, get trapped in a small and gloomy cave. Will they find a way out of there?

Rainbow and Yakari discover that a menacing grizzly bear who can't swim forces the unprotected otters to fish for him. But when the bear goes into hibernation, the friends decide to give him a lesson he won't forget. Will they succeed?

After days of incessant rain, Yakari and Rainbow find themselves stranded on a small peninsula along with a mother moose, its calf and a fearful wolverine. Can Yakari and Rainbow protect the helpless baby-moose?

Under the tribe's nose, crafty and silent thieves managed to steal all the horses, nevertheless, Yakari notices that Little Thunder's footprints are missing. Will the tribe get its horses back?

During a ride on the river in a canoe, Yakari and his friends Rainbow and Buffalo Seed spot a father coyote teaching his cubs an important technique.

A couple of mischievous bear cub siblings play tricks on Yakari, but soon, one of them will get trapped in a great burrow, while air is running out. Only the burrow's builders are able to help Mama and Papa Bear. Will they make it in time?

The beavers are quite worried about the unusually low water level. Yakari with the help of a wide-winged condor head to the high mountains to discover an enormous boulder in the water's way. Can the young Sioux move the massive rock?

Despite the warnings, a playful young coyote gets separated from his mother and eventually becomes Yakari's student. Will the mother coyote reunite with her baby?

After a moment of carelessness, Yakari discovers a peculiar impression of an enormous bird-like creature carved into a cliff. What could possibly be the mysterious cliff face?

After his disappearance, Little Thunder returns to the village along with a grey stallion on the verge of death. But what is their secret?

As a terrible drought hits the vast prairies relentlessly, Yakari stumbles upon a formidable but harmless snake with a well-hidden secret. Will the mysterious rainbow-serpent help Yakari?

Much to Yakari and Rainbow's surprise, a unique white bear appears in the forest and is already the target of Quick Bow, the skilful hunter. Can the two friends help the mysterious Ghost Bear escape from a cruel fate?

The tribe sends all men and children to catch fish; however, Buffalo Seed and Yakari's efforts are fruitless, unlike the skilful unknown kid at the riverbank. But who could be this great but unknown fisherman?

Litle Big-Shot is pissed-off when Yakari wins another dare, tree climbing, by picking an oak he knows all too well. To Yakari's surprise, trees start talking to him. Intrigued, he follows a trail which proves planned by two individuals.

After the venomous bite of a rattlesnake at a forbidden canyon, Little Thunder needs help fast. However, this is the area of a peculiar long-eared pony who is always in a bad mood. Will Yakari and Buffalo Seed find the remedy in time?

A mysterious robber sneaks into Wise One's teepee and steals his precious medicine bag. Before long, the little Sioux finally discovers the culprit who is not at all willing to hand over the bag. Can Yakari trick the trickster?

After his exclusion from a big hunt, the headstrong Buffalo Seed decides to run away from the tribe and only return when he becomes an accomplished hunter and a great archer.

Unexpectedly, Yakari discovers an extraordinary and unusual bow, and with it, a hulking but kind-hearted friend.

After a silly dispute with his best friend, Buffalo Seed, the young Yakari discovers that Linden, the beaver, has problems of his own with his former friend, Needles, the porcupine. Will those stubborn two let him be the voice of reason?

In the prairie, Yakari discovers a long-lost great warrior's medicine bag, and with it, a mysterious wooden mask. The boy decides to return the sacred artefact to its rightful owner; even if his quest leads him to a dark and gloomy cave.

A skilful hunter is determined to catch Little Thunder's unknown horse-friend who is terrified of people. But if the mysterious pony is so afraid of men, perhaps a cunning plan can help.

Yakari, the little rascal, along with Rainbow, discover a strange cow's hide depicting an unsolved mystery and set off to the high mountains to solve its puzzle. Could their search lead them to the sacred stone?

Droopy Ear, the tribe's faithful but sometimes mischievous dog, decides to hide Restful Rock's precious flute. Now, how can Yakari discover the missing musical instrument before its owner returns?

Yakari simply can't wait to get a closer look at a fearsome pack of wolves; however, when he witnesses a member of the pack cruelly driven away by his own kind, he decides to help. Will Cringing Wolf's training be successful?

Much to his surprise, Yakari discovers that the sluggish and sleepy, Eyes-Always-Shut, is actually very active during the night. But how can Yakari watch him all night long without falling asleep himself?

A mysterious set of penetrating bright eyes seem to be following Yakari all over the thick and shadowy forest; however, when his friend disappears, the very same set of eyes seem to be leading Yakari somewhere. Who do those eyes belong to?

Unexpectedly, Yakari and Little Thunder come across a great but sad old buffalo who claims that his days are numbered. Can Yakari help the elderly bison catch up to his herd?

Poor Yakari is cold, sick and feverish, and has visions of ancient legends about the sons of the eagle and the fearful water demon, as his totem, the Great Eagle, is nowhere to be found. Will he answer Yakari's call?

Long Bow, Yakari's enormous but kind-hearted friend, has returned unexpectedly to the small Sioux village to stay until the buffalo-hunting season. Obviously, he needs a horse; however, where could they find a mustang as big as him?

To teach the tough hunter, Proudest Cloud, a lesson in respect, Dreaming Bear, Yakari's friend, has to undergo the trial of the red arrow. Once, he used to be a tracker; however, will he be able to find the small arrow without any help?

The good-hearted and well-meaning Yakari is having trouble keeping his promises to his mother and his friends. After all these promises, will he manage to fulfil at least one of his duties?
