Chase now rules the world, with Omi (imprisoned in the body of a Jungle Cat) at his side.Jack, who's now on the side of good, cheers Kimiko, Raimundo and Clay to help free his old friend.But they've got bigger problems.They soon discover that when they left the Ying Yang world, they were not alone.The Chi Creature followed them out and is determined to recover the Chi that was taken.The Xiaolin Apprentices are promoted to Wudai Warriors.

Now that the young monks have achieved status of Wudai Warriors, their challenges have escalated.Master Fung assigns them their first Wudai Quest.They are to search for the mystical Bird of Paradise.Finding the Bird of Paradise will bring them the knowledge that will be needed to defeat the greatest of evils.

Jack returns to the Yin Yang world where he frees the most evil force of evil--Hannibal Bean, an evil so terrifying that if he didn't exist, he would have to be invented--and yet an evil no bigger than a pinto bean.Imprisoned in the parallel universe, Hannibal's strapped to a chair, his face covered by a leather mask.Jack tries to make Hannibal an ally, only to discover that he's one mean bean who shares no allegiance to anyone.

Omi's sad that he's the only one without a last name.He wonders where he came from and who his family is.The other monks try to comfort him.When Master Fung sends Omi and the others on a quest to find where Omi belongs, Wuya schemes to use Omi's obsession to secure many Shen Gong Wu for herself, in the hopes of gaining power and one day getting out from under Chase Young's rule.

Master Fung sends the young monks on a journey to find the Treasure of the Blind Swordsman.Along the way, they will discover their new Wudai fighting weapons that they will have to learn to master.They won't choose the weapons. Instead, the weapons will choose them.

There's a race to get to the Rio Reverso -- a SGW that turns an object back into original form -- a tree to an acorn; a bird to an egg; a butterfly to a moth.Master Fung warns that this SGW is most dangerous because it is so unpredictable.It doesn't always act in expected ways.Jack lays claim to the SGW and accidentally turns an oil slick into a small dinosaur.He figures that he can create an army of dinosaurs but winds up getting more than he bargained for.

With Hannibal Bean creating so much evil in the world, Master Fung sends the young monks to another Temple for some additional training.There, they find their old friend Master Monk Guan who will teach them the ways.Master Monk Guan knows Hannibal better than anyone.The last time they met was when he lost his good friend Chase Young to the dark side.He fears what Hannibal will do this time.Hannibal must be stopped at all costs.

Raimundo is still visiting Master Monk Guan's Temple, but whenever he falls asleep, the Sapphire Dragon appears, destroying all in sight.At first, the monks suspect that Jack is behind this, but then they find that his Lair has also been destroyed.Even Chase and Wuya have fought off this creature.Until the monks can figure a way to stop it, they have no choice but to keep Raimundo awake.Master Monk Guan suspects something is bothering Raimundo that's allowing such a monster to form.They must find out what it is before he falls asleep again.

Chucky Choo, Dojo's old dragon buddy from his youth who has turned into his foe, shows up one day.Chucky immediately wins over the monks with his funny personality, but Dojo wants nothing to do with him.He sees Chucky as a flimflammer, a con artist, "matchstick" dragon.The young monks try to help Chucky and Dojo mend their strained friendship, but what they don't realize is that Chucky is on the run.It seems that he recently ripped off some evildoers selling them counterfeit SGW.

The young monks must use their Wudai powers in order to master and absorb their Elemental SGW.Omi is so anxious to prove himself that he decides to learn not only his own Elemental SGW, but the others also.As a result, he "short-circuits," overloading himself with powers that he has no way of controlling.His energy force is so extreme that he becomes a menace to anyone near him and is forced to leave the Temple until the others can figure out how to bring him back to his old self.

Evil in the world has grown so widespread, it's almost impossible to follow.Kimiko uses her ingenuity to come up with a way to monitor the various evil fronts by using the Mind Reader Conch.But in doing so, she accidentally allows Hannibal to learn Chase Young's one weakness.Master Fung worries that if one evil force dominates and takes over the others, it could grow too strong to ever stop.

Time is drawing near for Master Fung to determine which monk will be the leader.Master Fung assigns each a quest to complete.But part of the quest is for them to pick their own quests from which a leader will rise.Not to be outdone, Omi secretly takes on the greatest quest of all. He's going to use time travel to travel into the past and stop Hannibal before he can turn Chase to the dark side.

Omi uses time travel to stop Hannibal before he can turn Chase to evil.But in doing so, he changes the course of history and turns the world upside down.When he returns to his time, Chase is on the side of good, but Master Monk Guan is now on the side of evil, accompanied by Hannibal and Wuya.The Xiaolin monks have lost their Temple and have been forced to hide in the woods.
