A woman falls from the roof. Jiang Wei saves Zhiqing in the nick of time from being crushed by the impact of the fallen body. Zhiqing sees a vagrant when she looks at Jiang Wei. Zhiqing possesses a paranormal sight which allows her to see into the inner souls of others. Why does she see a vagrant in Jiang Wei?

Uncle Dong's son, Weijian, goes missing after he enters a lift. Zhiqing takes the same lift repeatedly in hopes of finding a clue regarding Weijian's disappearance. With a stroke of luck, she ends up at a strange dimension - on the 13.5th level which shouldn't exist - and finds Weijian there.

In order to locate Zhiqing, Jiang Wei studies the CCTV footage of the day she went missing. He discovers that both Zhiqing and Weijian disappeared at 13:13 (1.13pm) in the afternoon. Cuiyan often complains of noise coming from above her flat at 13:13 even though no one resides above her. Jiang Wei concludes that Zhiqing and Weijian's disappearance have something to do with the number 13.

Hanxiang and Wenbin find a mobile phone thrown out of the parallel universe of Level 13.5 by Jiang Wei, and guess at his predicament. They manage to get a safety air bag erected, just in time for Jiang Wei to hurl himself off the building in his attempt to escape the alternate dimension. However, Zhiqing still remains stuck.

Chen Dayu views himself as a failure in life, until he learns how to steal the youth of others from Ye Rongguang. Holding a grudge against his superiors at work, he decides to steal their youth for himself.

Zhiqing officially joins Jiang Wei's private investigator firm, and begins to investigate Ye Rongguang's case. They receive news that another two patients have contracted Ye Rongguang's aging disease. Upon investigation, they find out that both patients are Dayu's superiors, and had aged drastically within a few days while Dayu had become much more youthful.

Zhiqing comes to after passing out, and ages rapidly over the next few days - her youth stolen by Dayu. Jiang Wei desperately seeks the latter out, so he can restore her youth to her.

Jiang Wei and Zhiqing find Dayu and plead with him to save Zhiqing. Dayu feels bad when he sees that Zhiqing has aged so much, but he still refuses to admit that he has the ability to steal youth, and decides to ignore their plea. Jiang Wei does not give up pleading with Dayu, but is finally stopped by Wantai's bodyguards.

Having gone missing for 5 years, Zhiqing's father, Yang Guoli, suddenly reappears at home one night and gives Cuiyan a shock. Cuiyan and Zhiqing questions him about his whereabouts for the past 5 years. Bizarrely, Guoli denies having been away for 5 years. Instead, he claims to have just fallen asleep for one night, before being woken up by his wife.

Jiang Wei and team decide to accompany Guoli back to his said "reality" of Kampong Minpi, but they get lost in the forest and are forced to spend the night there. The next morning, they awake to find Guoli missing.

Zhiqing removes her glasses, and verifies that they are indeed in a dream, and not in reality. In order to save Wenbin and Cuiyan from capture, Zhiqing and Jiang Wei take Ba-Mei and Xiao Mei hostage. But Guoli insists that he does not know them.

Hanxiang's little sister Lixuan is involved in an accident and goes into a coma for over a year. He suspects that the culprits responsible for the 'accident' are Mingyao and Zhigang - who have just been released from prison. He starts to tail them. Jiang Wei gets Zhiqing's help to look into Lixuan's inner world. Zhiqing instantly recognizes Lixuan as the person who had saved her three times.

While Zhiqing is taking care of Lixuan, an uninvited guest, Luo Zhiliang, appears, and tries to take the latter away. While trying to stop him, Zhiqing is knocked unconscious by Zhiliang. In her unconscious state, Zhiqing is transported through time, to three years ago, and even meets Meichen.

Zhiqing returns to three years ago, to the eve of Jiang Wei's wedding. In order to prevent Meichen from disappearing, Zhiqing seeks her out. However, to Meichen, Zhiqing is spouting nonsense, so she drives the latter away. Zhiqing decides to go to the church in a last-ditch attempt to stop Meichen's disappearance.

Jiang Wei receives a phone call from a mysterious man, claiming that he has news of Meichen, and demanding $20,000. Jiang Wei and Zhiqing set off to the meeting point and see a man, Liu Guowei, behaving suspiciously. When confronted, the man is visibly shaken, and denies knowing anything.

Wenbin has been suppressing his feelings and unhappiness for years. He finally snaps and shows his true colors. However, he is unable to accept these changes and struggles to stop the devil in himself from taking over. Unable to take the pressure, he is sent into the mental hospital.

Wenbin discovers that he possesses a supernatural power that allows him to use music to hypnotize others. He uses this ability to control those around him. Zhiqing is hypnotized by him and blindly falls for him. However, Wenbin realizes that Zhiqing's words are like a robot, and he cannot feel her love for him.

In the midst of investigations, Jiang Wei and Zhiqing arrive at a subway station. Much to their surprise, they lose each other and end up in a different world. In this alternate dimension, everything has changed.

Zhiqing meets another Zhiqing in this alternate dimension, who happens to be a celebrity. Celebrity Zhiqing at first assumes this new Zhiqing is an impostor and knocks her out. Initially, the celebrity feels that Zhiqing's presence was amusing. However, she gradually grows jealous of the latter, afraid that new Zhiqing will replace her.

Celebrity Zhiqing is unable to accept that she has lost the power to look into the inner world of others. She wants the original Zhiqing to be responsible for her loss. Zhiqing has no choice but to help the celebrity see through the intentions of her guests at an event. Unfortunately, they are exposed and the 'new Zhiqing' is branded a cheat.
