Ida Waage is a trusted CFO in one of Norway's biggest law firms, when a suspicious invoice lands on her desk.

Ida chooses to warn the other leaders in the firm. The consequences are swift and brutal, and reach a crescendo when Ida is accused of harassing her employees in a humiliating meeting.

A shaken Ida discuss the case with her brother-in-law and lawyer, Ola, who advise her to bring the case to police. Ida's husband, Tore, is against it, saying that the risks are greater than the rewards.

The police begin their investigation, and Ida knows it's just a question of time before Eirik shows up at B and G's door and the latter realises that she's a whistleblower.

Minister of Justice Anette Nordeide is the subject of a witch hunt for the press, but denies any knowledge of her husband's business with Eggen.

After Ida's public confession the pressure hardens on Norway's Minister of Justice, Anette Nordeide. The press is hunting her, and she is under full criminal investigation.

Ida and her allies realise that Anette Nordeide's death has changed everything. The limelight shifts from the original case to the popular minister's tragic death.

Ida is about to give up when help comes from an unexpected place. The police case might be dead, but her case isn't.
