Could a cactus really survive in this winter wonderland we call Canada? There is one that actually does - the Eastern Prickly Pear Cactus!. Sadly, this plant is a species at risk - which is bad news for our hungry pollinators. Christina from Point Pelee National Park is giving us the lowdown on how Parks Canada is trying to help this very important pollen provider. Spoiler Alert - it involves fire.

Exciting news. Pollinator Pals are popping up everywhere these days. Aimee from Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites gives Leo the inside scoop on how we can all become pollinator pals.

A squirrel that flies - that's also an important pollinator...?. This critter disappeared from the Point Pelee forest only to be re-introduced by the team from Parks Canada. Leo can't believe the story Tarra has to tell about this pollinating pal.

Leo is all about the snacks - which is why she's excited to find out how Nathan, Susan and the team from Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites have created the ultimate Pollinator buffet.

It's all fins on deck when it comes to helping our pollinator pals. Leo learns that her fellow PollinHeads at Bruce Peninsula National Park teamed up with the University of Guelph to save the Hill's Thistle, an important food source for endangered bumblebees. Science being a BFF to nature - that's just pollintabulous.

She's catching up with Cheryl Bryce from Songhees Nation to find out how she and her pals from Parks Canada restored the Garry Oak Learning Meadow. But it's more than a meadow -- it's a food system. Traditional foods can be once again enjoyed by both people and pollinators.
