While eavesdropping, Raj mistakenly believes he is soon to become a father, while Nadine has instead planned a different surprise for him: dinner with his long lost father who has care to make amends with his estranged son.

A new management company is raising rents in her apartment building, so Shirley gathers her friends and fellow tenants together to confront the evil landlord who is in for the fight of his life.

Raj is elated when his agents informs him that he may have a movie deal for Raj's latest screenplay until it's discovered that it is really Nadine's case study on homeless women that the producer really wants to turn into a blockbuster feature film.

Raj gets enraged when he finds out that Nadine once posed nude for a popular artist.

Nadine allows Raj to go on a fishing trip on the condition that he will let her mother to stay at their house for a few days.

Raj makes a spectacle of himself at Dwayne's party when he drinks too much, dances too much and wakes up with a strange woman.

Shirley becomes a big sister to a shy teenager. However, their friendship is tested when Shirley bribes a popular student to take her to a dance.

Raj is approached by a woman from a publishing company who offers him $50,000 to publish his new book. However, everyone soon realizes that the woman is not whom she appears to be.

Dwayne finds that there are many perks when he begins to date the boss's daughter. However, he quickly wants out of the relationship when she becomes controlling.

Nadine, Shirley and Dee are in a tight squeeze when their car breaks down, leaving them stranded in a secluded mountain cabin while an escaped convict prowls outside.

Shirley runs into a old friend and asks Raj to pose as her husband to make her look more successful.

Raj must figure out a way to win back his share of the diner after he loses it to Dwayne's obnoxious army buddy in a poker game.

When Nadine goes off in secret to plan a cruise for her and Raj, Raj suspects that she is having an affair.

When Dee comes home from college, she is aggressively pursued by a nerdy guy who will not take no for an answer.

After Raj kicks a homeless man out of the diner, he has a dream that he is homeless and the homeless man is married to Nadine.

After the new diner down the street begins to take customers away from Rob's, Raj hires a young rap group to try and lure them back.

After learning that the Little League team from Rob's Diner will be facing off against their longtime rival, Raj and Dwayne begin to focus the team more on winning at all costs and less on having fun.

When Raj's lookalike cousin escapes from prison, he heads straight to Raj and Nadine's house to avoid detection. There is plenty of confusion when even Nadine cannot tell them apart.

Feeling sorry for an Arctic woman who was jilted by her beau, Raj and Nadine hire her as their housekeeper. They soon realize that she is not cut out to be a maid and try to reunite her with her beau.
