Artie and Claudia discover a new artifact which is a spinning comic book stand. Pete is horsing around and accidentally activates it.

After activating the comic book stand artifact, Pete, Arnie, and Claudia are transformed into animated characters and are hunted by ghouls.

Stuck in the animated world, Artie attempts to contact Leena in the real world while Claudia is abducted by a ghoul.

The ghoul who captures Claudia retreats with her into the sewer while Pete tries to figure out what has happened to her.

While searching for Claudia, Pete discovers a new ally and enlists his help.

Artie and Leena work together to reverse the effects of the comic book stand artifact while the ghouls begin their interrogation of Claudia.

Pete and his new ally prepare to attack the ghouls holding Claudia while she attempts to convince the ghouls that she means them no harm.

Artie and Leena continue to work on reversing the effects of the comic book stand artifact while Pete rescues Claudia from the ghouls.

Returning from the sewers, Pete and Claudia reunite with Artie and work together to get back to the real world.

Pete risks his life to reopen the portal and return himself, Artie, and Claudia to the real world.
