Former inmates Josje and Eefje attend the wedding reception of Wiebe and Tonny. Maurits has already married Carla, who is pregnant. Director Zandbergen has been replaced by Akkie Dorrestijn, who brought along a new negative minded warden, Nel Wittebol. Recently transferred inmate Cor Vis has horrific visions involving Jacqueline. Teun falls at first sight for Snoes when she first arrives. Snoes immediately starts making promises to another recent addition, the heavily addicted Maria. Yet another new inmate, Gillian Bloch impresses the male wardens.

A visitor has attempted to kill Jacqueline. Maria can't get through the night without stimulants. Her lawyer agrees to bring her something harder. Strict Nel Wittebol is criticized by the prisoners and the other wardens alike.

Tonny has morning sickness even though she is convinced she can't have children. Jacqueline has decided to testify against Carlos Emmanuels after all. Adriaan Wagenaar advises the buddy system for Jacqueline. Wimpie Wittebol tries to come out of the closet but cant find the right moment to tell his family. Julia's mother's new lover wants her to break ties with her convict daughter.

Nel is upset after seeing her son kiss another man. Julia is depressed and Smorrie refuses to comfort her. Wiebe is unsure he wants another child, while Tonny is delighted to be pregnant. Teun breaks up with Anna in favor of Snoes.

Julia has attempted suicide. Maria attacks Snoes in the workplace and Nel gets cut with a pair of scissors. Jacqueline rejects Ida Muns as her new "Buddy". Jantje receives a visit from Flip, friend of Ferdinand.

Smorrie returned to jail on the first night of her weekend's leave. Julia has her first session with psychiatrist Paul Jaspers. A film crew shoots a documentary about Cor Vis. Jantje is disappointed when Ferdinand visits instead of Flip.

After fainting in the shower, Jacqueline decides she wants to talk to Ida Buns after all. Gillian Bloch puts the moves on Maurits Troost. Dr. Jaspers asks director Dorrestijn out to dinner. Tonny goes on pregnancy leave.

Cor Vis is set free after new evidence finds her innocent of all charges, but has nowhere to stay. Jacqueline is planning her first leave with Ida. Alfred Willems joins the staff as a guard. Wimpie Wittebol leave home.

During her first weekend's leave, Teun is staying with Anna and her new boyfriend, Jim. Wiebe cheats on Tonny with Regina.Maria gets cash from her lawyer to pay for drugs from Snoes, who got them via warden Alfred Willems.

Tonny has a miscarriage. After being thrown out by Jim, Teun finds a place to stay with Bep. Troost rejects Gillian's advances. Wimpie Wittebol moves in with Barry. Jantje buys drugs from Snoes to try it out once.

Jantje Kruimel wakes up stoned and leads the other women in a polonaise at the workplace. At the same time, Jacqueline has a coughing fit. Tonny suspects Wiebe's affair with Regina. Kees Witteboel takes Millie out to dinner.

Tonny confronts both Wiebe and Regina about their affair. The wardens catch Maria receiving drug money from her attorney. Julia reconciles with her mother. The Wittebol family is completely falling apart.

Jacqueline goes on leave and heads for Scheveningen with Ida. Maria picks Tonny's pocket to get more drugs. Adriaan has a plan to get back at Paul Jaspers for flirting with Ida. Gillian's visitor auditions for a job as a stripper.

Smorrie is set free after doing her time. Jacqueline returns to the women's wing. David Molenaar struggles with his feelings for Julia. Teun is turning 39 and some of the others organize a surprise.

While Teun celebrates her birthday, new inmate José Donkers gives of very negative vibes. Maria steals Jantje's gold watch. Tony gives Carla her unneeded baby clothes. Smorrie meets with Adriaan in Millie's cafe, "De Bajes".

Alfred Willems has been caught and is let go. Smorrie and Belinda have both had enough of Bonza's two timing ways. Carla goes into labor. Nel talks about Wimpie and homosexuality with Teun.

Teun advises Jacqueline to patch it up with Ida. Jantje goes on leave and stays with Ferdinand and Flip. Nel and Wimpie meet in cafe "De Bajes". José Donkers' brothers break out of the adjoining jail and one of them is killed.

José is not allowed to attend her brother's funeral. Julia tells Paul Jaspers about her love for David. Jacqueline prepares her last will and testament. Smorrie starts her new job at Café "De Bajes".

Friends of José smuggle a weapon into the women's wing inside Dr. Kaan's luggage. Julia meets her mother's new husband and gets some time alone with David. Adriaan proposes marriage to Akkie.

Wiebe Oerlemans has been shot by José Donkers during her escape. Accomplice Snoes was behind and is soon spurned by the other inmates for her involvement. Beppie de Graaf arrives to do her time. Jantje receives a homemade cake from Ferdinand and soon finds someone else has been eating from it. Jacqueline is moved out of the women's wing because of her illness.

Troost is convinced he will take Wiebe's place as head warden. His wife wants him to get another job altogether. Akkie grants the position to Nel. Jacqueline says goodbye to her best friends from the women's wing. Ida tells her that Dr. De Groot is on his way to see her. Smorrie finds a new admirer in Ruud the bus driver.

Jacqueline passes in the arms of Frits de Groot. The women decide to make a flower arrangement for her grave. José Donkers has been caught and is Director Dorrestijn is forced to put her back in the women's wing.
