Renske breaks Danny's heart by deciding not to move back in. Instead of staying with her parents, as she told him, she lets Gio seduce her to his place. Italo orders Solange to work off the fat she put on since their wedding, but she fakes dieting and carries on eating. Diego actually only pretended to be in a coma, but his selfish mother is ready for euthanasia- until aunt Madonna returns from Singapore.

Danny is back on the team and presents his new girlfriend Kate to the press, but she fears she is not to be cut out for public life and reminders of his past. Both hate finding out Renske stayed in town and is now living with Gio. A row in the locker-room after a lost match gets Danny suspended. Diego now pretends to be mute and disabled now that he's no longer comatose, so he's released home, where his mother arrogantly refuses help from aunt Madonna or the professional nurse. Now would-be-model Kate is back with Danny, he agrees to help Gio gain legal paternity over Levi and divorce Renske. But she guesses Gio doesn't love her and wants to move back home. That makes both men change their positions. Jeffrey has appointed Madonna administrator of Diego's trust, and refuses to divorce Melanie unless she signs over the boy. Solange's reconstructive and plastic surgery is an aesthetic success.

Danny lets lover Kate move in. Alex Largo, from her past, pretends to offer her a movie part, in fact as blackmail with her porn past. Solange believes her dad Ton is terminally ill. Italo accepts to grant his 'dying wish': a grandson. Melanie can no longer pay her bills, so she desperately presses Jokke for a commission on African player Kofi's discovery. FC Heros is bought by Russian heir Oleg Ikolajev. His haughty Ukrainian-Dutch self-made wife Oksana expects to become the wives' top-dog, which broke Melanie has to accept, until Oleg threatens with foreign ...

Oleg Ikolajev announces he's making an Arctic expedition and leaves his wife Oksana in charge as Heros's 'club president', to coach Carolus's horror. She gets him drinking vodka, but he and the team fight trough. Diego's grandpa Dirk Duprie turns up, telling he's terminally ill and sold his French vineyard. Madonna gets landed with him. The boy discovers never knew him, ma's doing, according to her because he's abusive. Mikey presents his bride Roswita, who tells Solange she's bi and 'interested'. Kate pays blackmailer Alex, but not enough. She steals evidence he ...

Kate assures Danny her past is no longer a problem. Oksana's cheap past is aired on TV. The police arrests Alex, but he posted the crucial images on Internet. Danny stands by Kate, but the stress makes him try cocaine. Oksana brings in Boshoi ballet coach, Yoeri, to teach the soccer team 'dancing with the ball', in which Gio excels. After Solange confesses her lesbian kiss with Roswita to Italo, he claims that trust breach calls for a compensatory threesome in a spa. Solange however tricks Mikey to catch has unfaithful bride. Danny agonized about facing the press, even worse after Italo's flippant advice, but once Kate shivers in front of the TV reporter Danny spontaneously radiates love and confidence in her. Alas Danny got badly addicted to cocaine and nightlife, and Kate is onto it. Madonna moves Diego's things, tells him Melanie no longer wants to see him and keeps them apart in every way she can. Solange discovers Italo keeps their savings cash and asks Mikey's 'family crime expertise' to work out a 'better' stash then the safe but comes up with even worse and gets paranoia. Oksana ...

Danny's cocaine use only worsened when Kate moved out, but they promise each-other a clean break when she returns, but have a row when she finds another sachet. When Danny takes his frustrations out on the field and coach, Oxana sides with Carolus, who suspends Danny. Madonna keeps pushing Diego to call her mama and isolates him at home. When she forces him to wear girlish clothes, he runs away. Oxana has fallen for Gio's charms, so they must rush him out when Oleg arrives back from the Artic early. Solange's dumb hiding plans have ended up loosing Italo's cash stash ...

Danny can't remember if he raped stewardess Lisa while stoned. Kate doubts him, but studies an incriminating Internet video and proves she seduced him. Oksana discovers Solange is one of Oleg's kidnappers. She accepts to pay- to keep him prisoner so she can continue her adultery with Gio, who demands she makes up her mind. Diego discovers Madonna is on psychotherapeutic pills and mistakes him for her late baby girl Daphne.

Kate looks like she'll beat Melanie easily at the Dutch national soccer gala's style award, but instead opts out of 'senseless' modeling altogether. Oleg is so besotted with Solange that instead of revenge for his kidnapping, he wants to marry her. Italo refuses to sell her, but in order to be free for lover Gio, Ilana comes up with an alternative: find another wife for him. The Russian she and Solange select does badly, actually looking for an au pair-position, but Mikey's visit with his new girl-friend changes things.

A Real Madrid scout is so impressed with Danny he actually places a generous bid. Kate however is dead-set on starting charity working Africa. Italo's Chinese adoptive child, Li Hai, arrives. Now he tells Solange he changed the request from baby girl to - boy, which they rename Angelo. He bribes her by pointing out she can thus shop all over for him. Alas her maternal incompetence is obvious even to Mel, who hires an urchin to mind the baby. Gio challenges Oskana to a bit she can't abstain form shopping a week. Tempted by a gown, she shoplifts it and is arrested. ...

Even Danny's angelic patience doesn't stretch to letting Kate spend a while year in a godforsaken Ghanan village rather then his new luxury villa near Madrid. Gio discovers how Oksana plans to 'earn her keep' when a reality TV camera team films him getting out of bed stark-naked and sticks to them at home every second. Solange wants to keep 'foundling' Bonnie rather then legally adopted Angelo. Melanie grudgingly accepts to convert to Catholicism to become Kofi's wife, but not his Ghanan bride carrying Diego's baby.
