Mel is starting a new job in a small town called Virgin River. She left Los Angeles big city life to forget and heal and she founds herself in the midst of smalltown life where not all locals welcome her - especially her new boss, the old school doctor.

After finding an abandoned baby on Doc Mullins's doorstep, Mel and her boss argue over wether to call Social Services or find the newborn's mother.

Mel considers being a temporary foster parent to Chloe while grappling with her own grief. Jack works to convince her to stay in Virgin River.

Hope's health scare prompts a difficult conversation with Doc. Charmaine asks Mel uncomfortable questions. Paige keeps secrets.

Under pressure, Mel and Jack respond to a medical emergency on a remote illegal pot farm. Charmaine and Hope exchange words.

December 6, 2019 Someone unexpected stops by Mel's home on the eve of the town's annual dance party. Meanwhile, Jack grapples with his flashbacks from his time in the armed forces.
