Paul (a former power agent) and Drew (a blocked novelist) have both turned to nannying to help them make ends meet until they can find work in their chosen professions. On their daily walk through the park, they meet a manny named Kenny who is new to Los Angeles and fresh-off-the-boat from Nebraska.

Paul and Drew meet up with Kenny in the park. Kenny's employer Samantha is with him and on her way to SoulCycle. As all of them make acquaintances, it quickly becomes apparent Paul and Drew that Kenny has a little secret he's hiding in order to stay employed as the Manny for Samantha's daughter, Harper.

As Paul and Drew take their daily spin through the park, Paul gives extensive instructions to his online assistant who "telecommutes from Sri Lanka." As Sean, a food delivery gig worker, brings them Starbucks via bicycle, Drew takes Paul to task over the income inequality of the "sharing economy."
