A forensic scientist is sent to the scene of a multiple shooting and hostage situation where the suspect is shot and assumed dead. The scientist realises the suspect is not only not dead but also looks mysteriously like her.

Becca starts investigating the story behind her doppelgänger only to discover more questions than answers.

Becca gets more information from Tamara. Only to discover there seems to be a more sinister conspiracy to keep the story quiet.

Humberto comes to Becca with new details and ends up seducing her. Under Eugenio's tutelage, the transformation of Tamara into her sister Aleida begins.

The fake Aleida cedes control over her company to Eugenio. Becca challenges Dr. Bátiz. More incredible coincidences about the triplets' lives surface.

Guided by a vision, Becca asks Pilar to give her access to the hospital's basement. What she uncovers is devastating - as are its ripple effects.

With Beatriz dead and Tamara missing, Becca suspects Eugenio is now after her, and decides to entrust her mother's safety to Dr. Batiz.

As the truth is finally brought to light, the experiment continues to take obscure turns, blurring the lines between what's real and what's planned.
