A group of newly hatched toadlets find themselves struggling for survival in a dangerous forest, facing the prospect of becoming trapped as toadstools.

As the Toad Patrol makes there way to the Fairy Ring, poor Shaggy Mane's clumsiness with his coil causes him to run away from the group. Thankfully, a young musician toad named Earth Star helps find Shaggy and reveals his dark past.

When the Toad Patrol comes across a road they cannot cross, the gang splits up for another way around. But Fur Foot, Elf Cup and Puff Ball end up caught in a forest fire.

Upon reaching a beautiful cave, Puff Ball feels guilty for putting the Toad Patrol in danger and attempts to set things right. However, as the toadlets become more hostile towards each other, its up to Puff Ball to save them.

The twins become captured by a human boy and taken to his home. Upon escaping, they come across a pair of rodents who show them around the house.

Mistle Toad is in trouble when he is trapped on the side of a cliff. Panther Cap goes into a strange realm called the Stay-Away Place for help, only to find Earth Star has a sad story about that place.

After meeting a prideful frog named Barnaby who trounces on toads, the Toad Patrol tried to cross a river with a porcelain duck only to be taunted by Barnaby's wisecracks and put in danger of the bird of prey Medea.

All of the Toadlets find a safe place for the night. However, Elf Cup breaks her promise to stay in the haven and goes out to find Earth Star. But the dangers of the forest prove challenging.

Panther Cap is trapped in a strange metal box, unable to get out or he will be eaten by the snake Erebus. The Toad Patrol sets out to rescue him.

The Toad Patrol become trapped in a Stomper's bird house. To make matters worse, a bird steals Panther Cap's cap and magic acorn.

Beauty Stem becomes very weak after bathing in poisoned water by mistake. Upon finding Mistle Toad, the wise toad tells the children of an Ancient known as The Outsider who has the power to heal her.

Mistle Toad and the Toadlets are trapped in an Ancient temple by bats who kidnap Slippery Jack.

The Toads have finally made it close to the Fairy Ring. However, Erebus and Medea have spotted them, and Panther Cap along with Earth Star must face many dangers if the toads are to make it.
