In Ireland a series of strange ditch like constructions are investigated to identify who may have built one of the largest promontory fort in Ireland. The Time team become almost overwhelmed by the amount of finds they make and what those finds tell us about the builders.

Caerwent is the most well preserved Roman town in Britian. Located in Wales it has been dug and studied for over 100 years. The Time Team have been invited to dig a previously untouched section of the town in search of what is believed to be the biggest villa in the area.

In Rise Hill Yorkshire are the remains of one of the last railroads built by the Navies, itinerant construction workers who moved from site to site looking for work. As much as is known about construction techniques etc, virtually nothing is known about the life they led in these remote locations.

Bones discovered in the past are uncovered again. From documentary evidence, the grave is believed to be an illegitimate nephew of Bishop Beacham. Walls revealed are suggested as a workmen's hut during the building of the cathedral.

Local archaeologists find evidence for a Norman castle. The team find Roman flooring and Norman pottery. The site has been over looked as a medieval battle took place here, but what really happened here.

Previous finds point towards Roman occupation. Coins and pottery from previous field walking are laid out, showing continuous Roman use. Was there any other use?

Two chapels are dug. One on the island, other on the mainland, between tides. Some excavators remain on the island, to continue digging. What was here before Glastonbury Abbey started a cult of Saint Michael?

Over the usual three days, The Team try to discover the purposes of uses for this mound. Stone axes and worked masonry have been found, suggesting prehistoric and medieval.

Ulnaby village is a well preserved medieval village, which has now gone. The team want to know when the village started and find out why and when it was abandoned.

New owners of a house in Blythburgh explored their shed and found a cupboard full of human skulls. Are these remains part of what's lurking amongst the shrubs and trees: the ruins of a medieval priory that has lain hidden for years?
