Sherilyn Fenn and Jill Shackner were originally cast as the female leads Janet (renamed as Laura) and Lydia, but were replaced by Elizabeth McGovern and Teresa Celentano.

After being evicted from their house, Laura, Lydia and Alex move into Carl's Yurt.

With the Blue Moon Festival right around the corner, the town of Milford is on the prowl.

Walt Deekins (Ed Begley Jr.) decides giving is the road to happiness, and promptly writes a check to Laura to help her rebuild the school - of course with some strings attached.

Pete Watson (Richard Kind) is a mild mannered bank employee and community theatre activist with a panache for Mamet, but a chain of events make him rob the bank and hold everyone hostage.

When Mack's high school wrestling rival Roarke Monaghan (Corin Nemec) returns to Milford as a successful, high profile lawyer, Mack takes him on in a re-match to finally set the record straight.

When Milford's priest decides to stop being a man of the cloth, the town starts confessing to each other and finds out baring your soul doesn't always set it free.

Everyone is working on their relationships - Alex and Claire; Lydia and Jonah; Laura and Mack; and even Michelle Graybar gives online dating a try.
