In Old West, Cowboy Woody comes to town and notices an ad at a western post office advertising for a new mail delivery rider. He is hired but is warned about the bandit Buzz Buzzard who has been stealing the mail and killing the carriers.

As an exhausted Woody trudges through the streets trying to find a room for the night, he comes across a vacancy in Wally Walrus' house.

While playing a solitary game of croquet, Woody inadvertently disturbs a gopher's parlor and finds himself in a territorial dispute.

Woody Woodpecker's pursuing his favorite pastime, writing a tome on "Work and How to Avoid It," while all his friends of the forest work industriously to store food for the long winter ahead.

A line of people drool at the window of the shop of market butcher Buzz Buzzard. A short series of gags ensues about how Buzz dishonestly "jacks" up all his prices.

In the future, Woody is an elderly woodpecker who tries in vain to peck away at a tree. Unfortunately, his best years are behind him, and his beak was too weak.

Woody Woodpecker, tired and perspiring, is walking down a dusty road of the old West carrying a heavy suitcase. Hearing a stagecoach approaching, he stands in the road thumbing a ride, but the stage passes him by in a swirl of dust.

When the golfing bug bites Woody Woodpecker, he is ready for the game, but the question is "Is the game ready for him?" as he tries to match play with a power golfer.

In a long shot of an Indian village way out West, all of the tepees have TV antennas, and some of the tepees are shops displaying Indian-made wares and merchandise.

Woody Woodpecker lands in a sideshow at a small-town circus, where his heckling proves too much for magician Buzz Buzzard to handle. Woody's pursued by Buzz throughout the fair.

A town Crier announcing that Buccaneer Buzz Buzzard's ship, the Black Mariah, has been sighted in the towns harbor, and warns the citizens.

Lumber mill workers Woody Woodpecker and Buzz Buzzard are friends when they are sawing trees, but when Wally Walrus rings the dinner bell, they become bitter enemies.

Woody watches a wrestling show on TV at home when he gets frustrated by constant commercial interruptions, then his pet Great Dane wrecks the TV set by leaping at it when a commercial featuring a beef steak appears on the screen.

Woody Woodpecker and Buzz Buzzard are bell boys at a hotel. They are checking out a magazine with pictures of a blonde French actress named Ga Ga Gazoo, who is so sexy even the men in the pictured are checking her out.

While happily roller skating, Woody gets bullied by an angry Buzz Buzzard who has just avoided being served a summons.Law officer I. Gypem tells Woody he will pay him a dollar to serve Buzz with the summons.

Deep in the desert, Woody is a member of the French Foreign Legion. He must protect the voluptuous Princess Salami whom Sheik el Rancid wants to kidnap to add to his harem, which already consists of 750 wives.

Woody and Buzz Buzzard seek the attention of a curvacious Balinese woman named Babalu who wants to sacrifice them to the angry volcano god of her island, who is in need of long pig for his dinner instead of his usual vegetables.

A criminal known as "The Bat" unwittingly hides a top secret formula in Woody's house. The bird mistakes "Formula 7 3/8" for his "Redwood Sap" tonic and turns into a multicolored Superman, gaining super strength whenever he ingests it.

Woody Woodpecker is driving in town singing, only to come across a Used Car Row where Buzz Buzzard is the Honest Injun, one of several car dealers with proprietorships on Used Car Row.

Woody asks Winnie if she would like to go to the sock hop with him. She accepts, and Woody goes off to prepare for their date.

Woody Woodpecker gets tossed out of a fancy restaurant for taking out his own lunch box and paying a single coin for a cup of coffee.

Woody is a shy piano tuner who is held at gunpoint by a bank robber named Mugsy who is on the lam. Mugsy hides out inside the grand piano Woody is tuning, and directs him to start playing immediately.
