In the early 1700s, a Jesuit cartographic team reached the lands of China and set about plans to complete a map of the Qing Dynasty.

As the Jesuits reach Bukui and their expedition approaches, they meet their guide, Jingwei. Their journey is also delayed due to an unexpected crime.

The Jesuits and their guide finally begin their cartographic journey to the northern mountains, determined to fill in the missing pieces of the map.

An event threatens the team's cartographic journey to the northern mountains.

The cartographic team learns more about their new hosts and meets someone who can speak with them.

The cartographic team sends Lee and Brother Benedetto to Tsitsihar for aid, while Jingwei Chen meets the village head woman.

Tensions rise as the cartographic team seemingly offends their hosts.

The remaining team begins to suspect that something is amiss in their host village.

The journals of the Qing era cartographic team come to a sudden end.

With the journals fully examined, the modern epigrapher, Dr. Liu, details the provenance of the findings.
