Intrigued by the unexpected find, the research team on board the Iluka begins the initial examination and cleaning of the object.

As the next few days pass, and the team works to dislodge the statute, some of the them begin to feel under the weather.

Slowly the team aboard the Iluka can no longer deny the strange happenings since the arrival of the dredged up object. Now, a confusing scan from the sea floor gives them new cause for concern.

As a hydrothermal event spurs the crew to action, some of them begin to experience unexpected changes.

The team works frantically to rescue Franco while a new phenomenon presents itself on deck.

As Franco's condition continues to decline, the crew of the Iluka must make an important decision.
