The competition moves into a new phase when the Knockouts begin. Teenage wonder Lucy Sugerman, Brooke Schubert and powerhouse Liz Conde compete in a breathtaking Sia contest. Crowd favourite Judah Kelly returns.

The next batch of artists compete for a place in the next Battle rounds. Queensland teenager Brittania Clifford-Pugh faces up against 17-year-old Hoseah Partsch and the enigmatic James Banks in one of the series' most emotional moments.

The Knockout rounds conclude with blind girl Lara Nakhale stepping up against Annalise Walker, who got all four chairs to turn, and stuntman Russel Francis. Country powerhouse Lyn Bowtell takes on a classic Beatles song.

The first 6 pairs of artists compete against each other, in sudden death contests with no second chances, for a place in the live finals. Among the battles are the two youngest artists Lucy and Camryn, as well as Sarah versus Lynn and Spencer versus Russ.

The remaining six artists then sing to keep their place in the competition before facing another public vote that will see four of them go through to the grand final. Last year's winner Alfie Arcuri performs his new single and Jessica Mauboy also makes a guest appearance.

The final four artists take to the stage for a solo performance and a duet with their coach, then the voting lines are closed and the two artists that receive the fewest votes are eliminated from the competition. The two remaining artists perform an original song before the artist with the most votes is revealed and crowned The Voice of Australia for 2017.
