Valerie Reed has to adjust to her parent's recent divorce. Along with struggling with her changing household she also struggles with her sexuality, which begins to raise many questions from family members as she becomes more secretive. After a stressful event, Valerie and her friends gain superhuman abilities. Realizing she can use her powers to help people, she becomes her city's guardian.
