While on their way west, the Rough Riders come to the aid of a farmer and his daughter who have been attacked by Sutton and his notorious band of cuthroats.

The Rough Riders discover a Union prison camp which still holds Confederate POWs. It seems that the prison commandant has doctored the camp records so that he can still keep the former Confederates prisoner, even though the war is over. The three try to come up with a plan to free the prisoners.

The Rough Riders stop to help a young woman collect money from the army for the requisition of her cow, and stumble across a plot to rob the army payroll.

An outlaw gang has kidnapped the governor, and is demanding that an imprisoned member of their gang be released in exchange for the governor.

Flagg, Kirby, and Sinclair ride into the middle of a feud between the Maddox and Pearce families.

The Rough Riders come to the aid of a young couple whose farm is threatened by a family of Southerners intent on avenging their Civil War wounds.

The rider trio unwittingly saves Belle Starr from pursuing outlaws.

Alexander Sugrue is trying to build a Utopia in the west. His son Kenyon taxes the roads and the farmers illegally, supposedly to finance the dream, but he is actually lining his own pockets.

Flagg, Kirby and Sinclair are bushwhacked in the middle of the scrub lands by a desperadoes, then their horses taken by indians. Sergeant Sinclair is the least injured, and goes on a long, grueling trek across the badlands, fighting off more indians and finally catching up to the gang.
