Gloria and her partner, Michelle, probe a fatal mugging that may have been a targeted murder.

Three murders with the same M.O.- but different guns. The only apparent link is a shady criminal defence lawyer. Gloria and Michelle get assistance from a detective from another division and sparks fly between him and Gloria. Gloria has babysitter problems.

A prestigious private school is rocked when a beloved college advisor is found stabbed to death in her apartment. During the course of their investigation, Gloria and Michelle discover a world where parents, students and professors will do anything for an Ivy league acceptance letter. When Gloria's son, Nick, gets a high score in a statewide exam and is thought to be gifted, Gloria must decide whether she wants to send her son into the high stress world of a private school.

When two young lovers, known as the "Newlywed Bandits", are found dead in their honeymoon suite on the morning they were to report to jail, all signs point to a double suicide. However, Gloria and Michelle uncover some evidence that may prove otherwise. Back at home, Gloria deals with her son, Nick, who has become obsessed with texting.

When a well-known plastic surgeon is murdered at his hillside estate, Gloria and Michelle dig through a growing list of suspects to catch his killer. As the case gets more complicated, so does Gloria's personal life with the return of her ex-husband, James (Jay Karnes), who is back in town to tie up some loose ends in their divorce.

When the owner of a popular food truck is found dead, Gloria and Michelle's investigation leads them to a world full of hostility and bitter rivalries. Meanwhile, Davey helps set up the PTA's online auction and, unbeknownst to Gloria, volunteers her to take a parent on an official LAPD ridealong.

Gloria and Michelle are surprised when the murder of a young woman found floating in a downtown lake leads them into a world of kinky sex parties. Meanwhile, Gloria and Davey's lives are complicated by an unexpected visit from their mother.

When a well-known "hairstylist to the rich and famous" is found dead in his home of an apparent gun-inflicted suicide, Gloria finds it suspicious, despite having no evidence to dispute the finding.

A woman know for dating cops is murdered. Gloria, Michelle, and Valdez need to find her killer. Could it be one of their own? The neighbourhood women start to warm to Davey.

While investigating the death of a young lab researcher, Gloria and Michelle uncover a world of drugs and betrayal that may have led to her murder. Meanwhile, after catching Davey kissing Nora, Nick blackmails him instead of telling Gloria.

A bartender's murder leads Gloria and Michelle to a family owned Mexican restaurant where they unearth a web of jealousy and betrayal amongst the siblings. Meanwhile, Gloria's mother, Beverly (Patty Duke), wears Davey and the boys out on her extended visit. (special guest star Â- Patty Duke)

Detectives Duclett and Rush investigate the robbery of a high stakes poker game that left a bodyguard and a notorious divorce attorney dead. Because of the high profile nature of the case the Police Chief temporarily assigns Captain Lisa Novak (Vivica A. Fox), Lt. Valdez 's ex, to handle the press which causes tension within RHD. Meanwhile, Gloria is stuck at the courthouse waiting to testify for the D.A. (special guest star Â- Vivica A. Fox)

After the murder of a peaceful, bookstore owner, Detectives Sheppard and Dulcett investigate the victim's hippie lifestyle and uncover secrets that seem to go against the simple life he preached to others. An unusually nervous Rush debates whether or not he should reveal his true feelings to Michelle. Meanwhile, Gloria deals with her own matters of the heart, when she second guesses her decision to invite Detective Brennan over for a "friendly" dinner with her family.
