A famous rabbit, Ricardo, won't sing at the town festival because his fur has changed color. It turns out, he's a snowshoe rabbit and his fur turns from white to brown with the seasons. He didn't know this about himself.

Huge footprints are everywhere in Gnarly woods. Prized flowers have been crushed. People think it's some giant. It turns out it's Withers the bear, who is starting to fall asleep for the winter and he falls over, crushing things, as he heads toward his den.

Cynthia is being blamed for making noises during the school play rehearsals - but she insists she said or did nothing of the sort. It turns out a mockingbird is mimicking her.

Milo is convinced there are witches when he sees lights, looking like eyes, buzzing around the music teacher's house. Rumors spread and no one shows up to school! After finding clues - Alfred realizes the lights are simply fire flies and no one needs to be afraid.

Cynthia cheats during a treasure hunt only to discover there is no treasure. Something happened to it and when looking at the final clue - follow the way the sunflowers face - Alfred realizes they changed direction, thus throwing everyone off course.

Oakly the beaver is really upset. Someone destroyed his damn. Alfred's on the case and discovers that the salmon are spawning and as they swim upstream they're crashing into Oakly damn, destroying his house.

The school picnic is ruined by a swarm of mosquitoes. No one can go outside. Bugs have never been this bad in Gnarly woods. It turns out the bats, who eat all these insects, have been trapped in their cave by a rock slide in the mountains.

Milo swears he saw an invader from outer space. It was foggy and the thing wore a huge mask-helmet. Bees in the area are really weak too. Alfred realizes that it was his father wearing a bee outfit to gather the honey and the fog was the smoke used to make the bees tired.

Mr. Remy thinks he's discovered a new type of tree. It grows Fur! He's blocked the path to the lake until an expert arrives. He's hoping to become famous. Alfred and the others soon discover that it's a moose who is rubbing his fur which is molting due to the advent of summer.

Lily finds Alfred and begs him to save Old Gnarly, the town tree. The tree suddenly went dry and it's set to be cut down. Alfred discovers that some road salt fell on the roots and dehydrated them, hurting the tree.

Lugubrious' turtle pond is dry. All the water is gone and it happened practically over night! Alfred discovers that the water source has been diverted by Cynthia to fill up bottles of spring water that she's selling.
