On an Italian cruise, natives Dom and Teresa bicker and consider separating. Daughter Francesca's blind date Paulo is a gigolo. Engaged granddaughter Maria is attracted to a local. Gopher is kidnapped by his double.

Conclusion. The ship cruises to Rome, Capri and Venice as an aristocrat (John James) finds romance; and a married couple (Ernest Borgnine and Shelley Winters) considers separating .

Patti has an anniversary gift for husband Jim. Julie uses Gopher to stop her ex-roommate Honey Bee from stealing Julie's new beau. Merrill's former classmate Martha is awed by his young appearance, so he's afraid to reveal his baldness.

Psychic Tess entertains passengers and meets Mike, who's separated from his wife. Merrill's friend Jack brags of his son Chip's accomplishments, but Chip has a secret. Elderly Horace worries about his honeymoon with wife Twinky.

A young girl who's infatuated with Gopher pretends to be her older sister. An artist meets a unhappily married guy. And the ship's comic runs into the wife and daughter he left years ago.

Dr. Yates' therapy patients disrupt his vacation. Soap opera writer Paula Hastings wonders if actor Barry Weldon has something up his sleeve. Doc's nephew Danny makes a move on his girlfriend Linda Gammon, prompting Doc to challenge him.

As an unknown criminal steals the priceless Spoonmaker Diamond from the Topkapi Museum, Merrill (Gavin MacLeod) informs the crew that they will be sailing on the Stella Solaris cruise ship to their next destinations: Greece and Turkey. Travel agent Dana Pierce (Polly Bergen) wants to check out the locales for business purposes. Emmett and Ella Stokes (Harvey Korman and Nancy Dussault) insist they have seen fellow passenger Mark Hayward (Mike Connors) before and they tell him so, but he repeatedly denies it. Crusading reporter Joe Novak (Kiel Martin) is quietly dating Sabrina Drake (Jan Smithers), whose mother Amanda Drake (Alexis Smith) he libeled in his columns. ...

Cliff and Monica (David Hedison and Linda Evans) renew their romance. Dana (Polly Bergen) shows Mark (Mike Connors) the diamond that she bought at the bazaar, but Emmett (Harvey Korman) and Ella Stokes (Nancy Dussault) see her. Sabrina (Jan Smithers) contemplates Doc (Bernie Kopell)'s marriage proposal, and he tells her that she's pregnant. Cliff wants Vicki (Jill Whelan) to model for him on an ongoing basis, which could start a career for her. One passenger has a narrow escape from a car crash. Gopher's new suit of armor leads to a mishap. Joan's daughter Vanessa falls for the son of the drunk driver who killed Joan's husband. Reverend David Ruland leads a mission study society but two members are smitten with him.

Glen plans to use clairvoyant Alice to win in the stock market. Bachelor Ken borrows his friend Tom's daughter Libby to impress potential date Sarah. Doc diagnoses Isaac's hearing loss as temporary, but Isaac fears the worst.

Connie Pierce feels left out when husband Steve bonds with their baby's surrogate mother Jan Willis. Executrix Betsy Boucher hounds Sylvia to save money. Ruth Gaylor falls for inventor Franklin Trumbauer, who's busy attending to his robot.

A con man schemes to get his gold past the custom's agents by using a pair of traveling nuns. A young married couple consider separating. A mysterious stranger seems to be able to help people at just the right moment.

Ex-con Eddie confesses his guilt to lawyer Gloria, who got him pardoned. PR workers Doris and Marsha impersonate celebrities who were accidentally booked on another cruise. Actress Phyllis meets a man who dislikes show biz types.

Gopher thinks Captain Donohue wants to replace Merrill on the Princess. Ben and Henry vie for Mary, who claims they're after her foxhound. Erica hides from her snobbish prospective in-laws Harold and Margaret, who think she's wealthy.

A visit from med school chum Elliot leaves Doc insecure about his own success. Unmarried seniors Tom and Faye live together and their children object. Computer genius Ross shows Kathy the cargo hold and finds something startling.

The crew jump to conclusions about noise in Gopher's cabin. Lou and Harriet both want their lawyer son Jon to represent them in their divorce. Allison's budding romance with Max is thwarted by her insecurity after a mastectomy.

The crew are in Greece working a cruise where a College is having its graduation ceremony. The Principal is attracted to a teacher who rebuffs him because he won't give a student a make-up test so he can graduate. And the student and a couple of his friends are hounding the Principal to do that. A prodigy is attracted to Vicki which doesn't make the Captain happy. And the valedictorian whose education was provided by his Greek aunt whom he assumed is wealthy but upon meeting her learns she's just a woman of humble means. And when she goes on board he doesn't tell ...

Conclusion. Capt. Stubing's daughter falls in love. A beloved crew member decides to leave the ship.

Keith gets a singing Dear John telegram and vents his anger on the delivery girl. Temp agency head Sam poses as a secretary, despite his lack of skill, to appease magazine editor Liz. Football star Duke has a fling with teacher Kate.

A golf widow (Stella Stevens) consoles herself with a former lover (Ron Ely); Captain Stubing is attracted to movie star (Joan Collins). A woman (Delta Burke) tries to avoid her former lover/hairdresser.

April tries to gain US citizenship but crumbles in the oral exam. Waiter Greg argues with passenger Jim before learning of their connection. Abby breaks up laughing during her first intimate session with a man.

Vicki's friend Mark abuses pills. Gopher's Uncle Jim endangers the job of a gift shop attendant to whom he's taken a liking. Tom travels with girlfriend Stacy but is emasculated because she's better at his hobbies than he is.

Hannah clashes with Jarvis over his son Kent's future. Maid Didi is in love with her boss Greg, whose girlfriend Meredith mistreats them. Gopher persuades Merrill to offer CPR. Retired plumber Fenley argues with son Dwayne over business.

A contest will decide which dog's picture will be on dog food can covers. Pam thinks Gary's dog is the dog she lost. Isaac's Aunt Tanya pampers her dog and neglects her husband Charles. Mail clerk Harold is mistaken for company CEO Jack.

Noble-winning professor Roscoe's ex-pupil Helen was hired to replace him. Magician Stellini thinks his daughter's suitor Joe wants to steal his secrets. The crew simulates a small claims court for landlady Minnie and former tenant Harlan.
