Bourdain takes on Chicago, the city he deems to be "the only other true American Metropolis." This layover is all about cruising around the diverse neighborhoods that make up this great city in a rented old-school Cadillac. For a bit of off-beat culture, Tony checks out the International Museum of Surgical Science. He drinks in dive bars galore, samples hot dogs, Polish sausages and Italian beef sandwiches (he prefers them hot, sweet and wet), and conducts an informal poll on whether native Chicagoans really eat deep-dish pizza.

In Paris, Anthony Bourdain does as the French do with a coffee at Le Pure Cafe, a sit down at Le Dome for an enormous shellfish tower, a find in the lost art of bread baking and an indulgent in a guilty pleasure, a duck press.

Anthony Bourdain goes beyond the cheesesteak in Philadelphia. He dines on Israeli food with Marc Vetri, throws back the citywide special at Dirty Frank's and learns the story behind the Founding Fathers' drinking and carousing.

In Sao Paulo, Anthony Bourdain stays in an eccentric boat shaped hotel, dines with friends at Alex Atala's famous D.O.M., checks out the street graffiti with celebrated artist Speto and has nose to tail, broke-ass food at Mocoto.

Anthony Bourdain finds that Toronto is more than what meets the eye. Best Mexican takeout in Canada, who knew? Amazing hand cut fries with cheese curds and a peameal bacon sandwich make for a great layover.

In Dublin, Anthony Bourdain finds the food scene is keeping up with the famed drinking scene. From sweetbreads and lamb to a home-cooked bowl of pork stew, Tony covers all of what Dublin does best in a few short hours.

Anthony Bourdain heads to "The ATL" where he cruises around in a muscle car, shoots guns and experiences the famed 10 o'clock burger at Holeman and Finch, wrapping up his trip at the legendary adult Clermont Lounge.

Taipei brings Anthony Bourdain to the second-tallest building in the world. There he discovers pork carved out of jade and learns he can't have a plan in a bar scuffle and why scantily clad women attend funerals.

In the town of excess, New Orleans, Tony indulges in fresh crab and shrimp, drinks Sazerac with Davis Rogan (a Treme-inspired character), hits the Kingpin and tops off with tacos from one of the nation's top-20 foods trucks.

Who doesn't love a layover in Seattle? Anthony indulges in runny and smelly cheeses at Calf and Kid, checks out the aerial view of the city from a seaplane and gets a not-so-family-friendly tour of Seattle's historical underbelly.
