The royal priestess sees a vision of chamiheonguk, which could bring prosperity to the royal family. Yeong-ji confronts the imprisoned Dong-ryu; he agrees to show her a secret location. After escaping from their escort, Yeong-ji and Dong-ryu come upon a village in ruins.

In-nim sneaks into Yeong-ji's room as she sleeps, removing a piece of paper from her clothes. After reaching chamiheonguk, the King declares independence from Yuan. In-nim approaches Yeong-ji in private; she offers to marry him in exchange for his protection.

The soldiers locate Dong Yoon. There is a big chase all throughout the village. It turns out all that Dong Yoon was carrying was a cat. The soldiers do not follow him. The princess will not accept the baby from the High Priestess. The princess lets the High Priestess take the baby away.

Posing as the girl's brother, Ji-sang rescues the girl from her guards and they escape into the forest. The king and queen are threatened, but Choi Young and his army save them in the nick of time. Later, Moo-young follows Seong-gye to Ji-sang's location, and aims his bow.

Sung Gye tries to uncover the truth after the traitor behind the king's assassination attempt is captured.

Young Ji receives some horrible news about her loved ones, not knowing that Ji Sang has embarked on a journey to find her.

Ji Sang finds a way into the palace just as the tense battle of wits between Young Ji and the Head Priestess begins in earnest.

Both Ji Sang and Jung Geun are forced to leave Gaegyoung when their knowledge puts their lives at risk.

Ji Sang's little lie gets him into major trouble with the scholars at the palace.

The king makes his first move against the empire by laying a trap for traitors in the palace.

Ji Sang and Ban Ya's reunion takes place amidst the king's preparation to attack the empire.

Although they save the Queen from an assassination attempt, Jung Geun and Ban Ya are thrown into prison to be interrogated by the King.

Jung Geun and Ji Sang sneak into the royal family's secret library with their own hidden motives.

Ban Ya turns herself in for burying a person in forbidden grounds, despite the consequences.

As preparations are made for Ban Ya to accompany the king, Jung Geun discovers that she and Ji Sang were once in love.

The truth is revealed about Ji Sang's identity as he sets off on a journey to find the the legendary site, Ja Mi Won.

Ji Sang and company continue on their journey to find Ja Mi Won and run into a peculiar village of widowed women along the way.

When the king's son goes missing, Ji Sang must find him in order to not be executed.

Ji Sang and Hae In's marriage plans come to a halt when Hae In's father refuses to give his consent.

Lee In Im advances towards gaining power and becoming the ruler of Goryeo.

General Lee Sung Gye and Lee In Im battle for the allegiance of royal officials in their quests for the throne.

Ji Sang and Jung Geun are both on the hunt to find Ji Ran, an ally of Lee Sung Gye who has escaped from Lee In Im.

After escaping to Dongbook-myun and being framed for murder, we rejoin Lee Sung Gye and Ji Sang ten years later in their return to Gaegyoung.

How far will our heroes go to reclaim the throne from the corrupt Lee In Im? Stakes are raised as Lee Sung Gye's son is taken hostage and Hae In is captured.

Ji Sang, Lee Sung Gye, and his men race to capture and kill Lee In Im to save General Lee's son and avoid war with Myung

The King becomes increasingly suspicious of General Lee Sung Gye's aspirations for his throne.

Ji Sang advises Lee Sung Gye to frame to former king, considering him to be a necessary sacrifice for a greater good.

When Lee Sung Gye is hit with a poisonous arrow, Woo Ya Sook and Mok Ji Sang frantically search for an antidote to save the general.

Though Lee Sung Gye strives to prevent more bloodshed, unfortunate and violent events turn against him.

Lee Sung Gye must decide whether or not to claim the throne as the new king, once and for all.

Hae In risks her life to prove Ji Sang's innocence, so that he can help Lee Sung Gye secure his destiny as the founder of Joseon.
