When the scion of a wealthy family is found shot to death in a servant girl's room, Inspector Cameron needs to know whether it is premeditated murder.

Dr. Chisholm's romance is blighted by the return of the lady's "dead" husband (believed to have drowned). There are many suspects when he is actually .murdered, including the doctor.

Politics is said to be a dirty business, but in this federal election it's personal. Inspector Cameron gets involved when there's an attempt on a candidate, but the one who gets killed is the campaign manager of the opposition. Whodunit?

A champion sculler is found dead in the water. When the Inspector investigates-and another sculler dies,, Sgt. Striker takes to the oars undercover.

When a man is convinced his wife is having an affair with a portrait painter, he makes sure to tell Inspector Cameron and Dr. Chisholm that he has evidence of it, and fears for his life.

Increasingly convinced that he has been tricked into doing an injustice, Inspector Cameron and his friend, Archie Chisholm the coroner, race against time to solve a bizarre mystery and save a falsely convicted couple from the gallows. Meanwhile, Charlie, a mysterious Londoner awaits payment for an unnamed service.
