The Board of Overseers has selected Raff and Enzo as protectors of the Gift. If they accomplish their mission, they will be rewarded with human form. If they fail, they will be transmogrified into cockroaches.

Jess offers to help prove Raff and Enzo are not figments of Henry's imagination and devises an experiment to measure their brain waves.

Henry's selection to play a saxophone solo before the visiting school inspector enrages Edwina. She asks Henry's step-sister, Sharon, to steal his saxophone believing he has it "tricked up" to help him play.

Henry's father decides he needs a break and takes the family on a vacation to see his colourful great aunt, Stella.

When Sharon's thirteenth birthday is forgotten by the entire family, Henry is tasked with going to the shops to buy ingredients for a birthday cake as well as a gift.

Raff kicks Enzo out of the rail car having had enough of her slovenly behaviour. She follows Leo to the carnival where her presence in the Ghost Train ride begins to draw a crowd.

Sharon and Henry are grounded after Enzo and Raff's teasing of Duke results the rebuilt gearbox belonging to one of Helen's clients being damaged forcing her to go into town for a replacement.

After being kicked out of the Blue Vipers, Henry wants to give up the sax completely meaning he will have failed with the Gift.

The Blue Vipers invite Henry to rejoin the band after the expiration of Edwina's two-week trial. The band draws the attention of music promoter Tyrone McLaren who immediately offers Henry a contract.

Jess completes work on her language translator but Phillip sees her working on it and thinks the translator is behind Henry's still unexplained saxophone skills.

Raff and Enzo try to restore Henry and Jess' friendship but his poorly chosen words only make things worse.

The Blue Vipers play their first paying gig and attract the attention of a man who wants them to play at the Perth Festival of the Arts.

Henry is the recipient of a prestigious music scholarship and receives a new sax. He has decided Jess will be the next to receive the Gift but according to the official rules of giftee selection, Jess is ineligible.

Henry informs Raff and Enzo of who he has chosen to receive the Gift but Leo's wants nothing to do with Henry's suitcase.

Leo is taking full advantage of having two servants who must do anything he asks of them.

Desmond uses Leo's garden hose and can suddenly see Raff and Enzo.

After Desmond looses his spot on the footy team, his father encourages him to explore his soft, creative side.

Leo has all but lost interest in his Gift when a messenger arrives heralding the imminent arrival of the Supreme Grand Overseer, her Gloriousness, Madam Rosa.

Sharon is already upset with her stepfather for being a financial drain on her mother but even more so when it is revealed his story is a fictionalised account of the family's chaotic life at the salvage yard.

Enzo is struggling to guide Sharon, a non-believer, towards reaching her full potential with the Gift and must continue pretending to be a runaway teenager who has lost her memory.

Sharon's friends hope her free-trial will shine some light on her key's purpose.

The kids are trying to adjust to life without Raff and Enzo when they are visited by Madam Rosa - in the flesh.

The suitcase materialises under Leo's bed. Inside is Leo's garden hose but Sharon's key is not - it is still stuck in the lock of her father's trunk at the storage depot.

Phillip's break from Edwina is short lived as she won't let their relationship, such as it is, come to and end when she can still use him to do her bidding.

Sharon is honoured with a scroll for having reached her full potential but Leo is still just the owner of a garden hose.

Raff and Enzo present Henry, Sharon and Leo with official certificates from Madam Rosa inducting them into the Giftee Gang.
