Later Shingwauk sees a plane go down in the bush and Ranger Keeley (Graydon Gould) thinks it may be the old pilot. It turns out to be a kidnapper holding an Italian diplomat's son named Manuel Marino. He is rescued by the kids with the old pilot's help. Sergeant Scott (Gordon Pinsent) gives Charlie a lecture about his low-flying, but that doesn't stop him - he soon flies only 20 feet above downtown Indian River.
