The 3rd son of the Shimogamo tanuki family, Yasaburou Shimogamo enjoys his busy life as a tanuki. One day, he goes in Mt. Nyoigatake to look for one of UMA, tsuchinoko, with his little brother Yashirou.

Yasaburou had a hectic night with Yakushibou aka Akadama-sensei and Yakushibou the second. Next day, when Yasaburou tends an antique shop, the owner asks him for a sudden job.

Yasaburou and his mother Tousen head to Tanukidanisan Fudo-in Temple where Tousen's mother lives. They ask her to prepare a medicine for Yajirou.

Benten argued with Yakushibou the second immediately after she returned from abroad - this story spreads in the society of tanuki. Meanwhile, Shogi tournament is held by tanukis at Nanzen-ji Temple.

Shimogamo brothers have to prepare a Daimonji leisure cruiser for this year. Yaichirou tries to prepare it, however, Ebisugawa brothers disturb his effort. Yasaburou thinks up a good idea and heads to Akadama-sensei.

Yasaburou visits Professor Yodogawa who is now against Friday Club. Professor Yodogawa tells Yasaburou that Friday Club meeting will be held at an inn in Arima hot-spring resort.

Yasaburou came back alive from hell by Benten's power, and then Benten invites him to Friday Club banquet. She advises him to take a bath before the banquet, and he goes to an open-air bath where members of Friday Club and professor Yodogawa are.

Sôun Ebisugawa's funeral is held at the Electric Wine Factory where Ebisugawa family runs. Not knowing what had happened, tanukis talk about his gossips. Tousen tells her sons what happened when he married into Ebisugawa family.

The day has come when Yajirou goes on a journey. Yaichirou, Yasaburou, Yashirou and Gyokuran see him off Kyoto station. Yasaburou gets sentimental, but it does not last too long. He has a new problem that Akadama-sensei refuses to observe in the election for a new leader of tanuki's society.
