One student dead, another student missing, and the kids get framed when the headmaster's search turns up ecstasy among their possessions.

The school board offers Héctor's job to Elsa but only if she'll expel the students who were found with ecstasy among their possessions. She asks for one concession - that one can stay. Héctor objects.

Jacinta returns, but everyone's general happiness remains short-lived under Elsa's rule, and Marcos discovers a worrisome numerical connection between the dead orphans and his sister.

Elsa's ignorance of Julia's home life could cost her her career as head mistress. Fermin's inability to hide a serious injury could cost him his life.

Seeking to distance himself and Paula from the menacing school, Marcos readies to sign Héctor off as their guardian, but two investigations lead him to an impasse with no one to trust.
