Five couples make their way to Port Melbourne where they meet Scotty Cam at the biggest Block ever. Our teams hit the ground running with a 48 hour $5,000 challenge.

It's a race to finish the 48 hour challenge and the couples do their best to impress the judges; Neale Whitaker, Darren Palmer and Shaynna Blaze. The highest score means first pick of the apartments.

Our five teams are thrown in the deep end with enormous master bathrooms to renovate. Some teams spend big on tiles and gold-plated taps, while one couple rolls the dice on a game-changing move.

Five incredible master bathrooms are completed and revealed. For some teams it is a frantic race to the finish, but one couple enjoys a casual breakfast on the morning of the reveal.

A new week of renovating kicks off with walls being demolished and the block contestants surrounded by building dust and debris. It's guest bedroom week and our savvy renovators know that clever design is key to impressing the judges.

Andy and Ben create an art deco inspired feature in their bedroom and Carlene is inspired by wallpaper for her room. Foreman Keith reminds all the contestants that heritage features must be restored.

Our contestants reveal five very different master bathrooms. One couple impresses Darren with their fresh take on traditional art deco design, while another team disappoints when the judges discover there is no toilet.

Sasha takes the decorating reins and chooses a faux snake skin wallpaper, that Julia hates. Novice renovators Andy and Ben come up with a clever move for their apartment that impresses Keith and Dan, and could be a game changing move.

With four days until their guest bedrooms and walk in robes are due for judging, the teams are called to HQ for their first challenge, and the chance to win $5,000 cash and a bonus point. It's a restoration and re-purposing challenge.

The teams meet Scotty and Shelley for a soap making and wood turning challenge. There's a chance to win $5000 cash, and the winning soap will be stocked in David Jones stores across Australia.

As the week continues everyone is feeling the budget squeeze, and it goes from bad to worse for one team who are fined $2000 for using power tools after hours.

The contestants begin their seventh week of renovating, with the hallways, laundries and powder rooms next on the agenda. Progress is very slow as teams hold each other up and Andy and Ben have major budget problems.

The teams arrive in Devonport after a night on the Spirit of Tasmania. They meet Scotty and Shelley for a challenge where they must design a table for their terraces. It's an opportunity to win some rare and expensive Tasmanian timber.

Scotty and Shelley arrive at The Block to check on progress and discover that deadlines are getting the better of some contestants. It is mayhem with three areas to deliver, and some teams wonder if they'll finish their rooms.

Tempers fray and frustration takes hold as it becomes clear that some teams will not finish. However there's plenty of wows from the judges, and one team walks away with $10,000.

After inspecting each other's hallways, laundries and powder rooms, friendships fracture. Attention quickly turns to kitchens and Keith and Dan call a meeting to ensure that all the kitchens are completed this week.

There's a chance for one team to win $5000 cash. With the help of a craftsman, each team must build a dining table for their terrace, in a theme allocated to them. Block All Stars Dan and Dani are guest judges.

Kitchen week gets the better of the contestants and budgets are drying up. Designs take shape as installation begins but some teams aren't happy with the outcome.

Its the end of kitchen week and the teams have put their very best efforts into delivering five unique and impressive kitchens. The judges have trouble deciding who will take home the $10,000.

The most important week of renovating begins as the teams begin work on their terraces. Each team is given $5,000 to spend on their re-do room, and it's a chance to improve on the worst room they've delivered.

Work on the terraces and roof top garden continues and Keith and Dan go through each apartment with a long list of defects that need fixing. The teams have a chance to win some cash with a dinner party challenge.

The team who puts on the best dinner party for Brendan Fevola and partner Alex will win $6000 cash in tonight's challenge. Second place takes home $4000 so the stakes are high.

Tonight the contestants hand over their completed terraces and re-do rooms. The judges are impressed but opinions are divided and the scores are tight. The teams discover Scotty's big secret as he reveals their final challenge.

Work on the challenge apartment begins and when the treasurer and project manager is appointed, alliances are formed and things get off to a rocky start.

The challenge apartment takes shape and it's a roller coaster ride for the teams with sickness, stress and trouble. There's also a sleepover planned, Keith and Dan hand out the lists of defects.
