Professor Klaus Brinkmann, a successful surgeon, becomes chief physician at the Black Forest Clinic in his birthplace.

The prisoner Max Ocker, who was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder, is brought from the prison to the Black Forest Clinic.

"World traveler" Arthur Wilkens, a mixture of tramp and journeyman, is admitted to the Black Forest Clinic with a broken ankle.

Country doctor Dr Marker is called to old Lutz. He has been terminally ill for some time and has now taken an overdose of sleeping pills.

Heinz, Willi and Mattes rob a bank near the Black Forest Clinic. Heinz is shot by the police while trying to escape.

A miracle water source is the attraction of Finzingen - allegedly the former patient of the Black Forest Clinic, Bruno Latschy, can see properly again through its water.

Professor Brinkmann, who is attending a medical congress, and Sister Christa, who is on vacation, meet on Sylt. Meanwhile, Elena Bach suffers a serious car accident.

Erna and Erwin Mattke find their tenant Frieda Baskow lifeless in her apartment. They immediately alerted the Black Forest Clinic's ambulance.

Dr Basler is able to persuade the oddball Sebastian Storch to seek treatment for a hernia. In the hospital, the man does not want to part with his suitcase of money.

Annetilde Metzner wonders whether it makes sense to extend the life of her old father-in-law Friedrich for a few more years with expensive medical equipment.

Wiebke Busch is close friends with Holger Boldt, the son of a racing team owner. During a ride together, the horse shies away and throws Wiebke off.

A newborn is found in front of the clinic entrance. Mrs. Kolb, who had a stillbirth, takes good care of the child and wants to take it in with her.

On the way home, Astrid is attacked and raped by two young men. The perpetrators flee when Udo, looking for the missing Angie, shows up on his bike.

Professor Brinkmann becomes an honorary citizen of the city. During the solemn event, the dying Josef Lambert has him called to his sickbed.

Twelve-year-old Willi is brutally beaten by Pesch, his mother's lover, but is afraid not to admit it. His teacher arranges for him to be examined at the clinic.

Dr Basler and Mischa are demonstrating with environmentalists against the forest decline on the Großmann AG premises. Basler falls off the roof and the employee Kritz is injured in the head.

Vanessa Bodenstedt has her chauffeur take her to the Black Forest clinic in a luxury limousine. She seems to be confusing the clinic with the Park Hotel.
