Helen's visiting niece Cynthia feigns helplessness to charm Opie, even though she is athletically superior to him.

When Andy nominates Howard for membership in the local lodge, Howard's mother tries to prevent it by spreading a false rumor.

When Howard becomes unavailable to sing in a Barbershop Quartet contest, Andy reluctantly drafts a prisoner to fill in.

Andy is drafted to umpire a baseball game and then is shunned by the entire town when his call causes Mayberry to lose.

Aunt Bee shocks the town with her new blonde wig and becomes the object of a visiting minister's attention.

The Darlings sell some land to the county for $300. Briscoe decides it's time to get his boys married off and they spend the day in town looking for brides. After they can't find anyone, they're ready to leave when they see an omen that says the next woman they see will be a bride. Then they see Helen coming down the sidewalk.

After Goober is involved in a minor traffic accident, Floyd and Aunt Bee convince him he has whiplash.

Aunt Bee and Howard Sprague both run for the same seat on the town council.

Helen and her students try to close the generation gap by showing that today's kids are no different than yesterday's.

Opie and Arnold find an abandoned baby on the courthouse steps. Afraid that it will be sent to an orphanage, they try to find a home for it.

After beginner angler Howard lands legendary carp "Old Sam", he discovers he has spoiled fishing for everyone by catching The Big One.

Aunt Bee has a rose that she thinks will finally win her first place in the annual Garden Club contest until Opie accidentally destroys it.

Otis and Howard try to rescue Andy when he is held captive by two desperate bank robbers on the run.

Goober annoys everyone when he becomes convinced his new beard makes him an intellectual.

Mayberry has a new doctor in town who runs into difficulty being accepted because no one wants to be his first patient.

A slick con man comes to town and dupes several people, including Andy.

Three friends cook three different dinners for Andy in one night.

Andy takes a trip to Raleigh to visit Barney and ends up making him a hero by solving a series of robberies.

Barney visits the same time as a movie star who's also from Mayberry. When her PR man learns she and Barney dated in school, he has Barney escort her to her new movie's premiere. Unfortunately, Barney thinks he has rekindled an old romance.

Helen gets jealous when an old girlfriend of Andy's returns to Mayberry.

Aunt Bee enters the business world when she becomes part owner of a Chinese restaurant.

Floyd decides to close the barbershop after Howard buys the building and raises the rent.

After the town has a statue made honoring a heroic Taylor ancestor, the find out he was a swindler.

Andy gets jealous when a publisher buys Helen's book for children.

When the milkman gets a truck to do his deliveries, Opie is asked to care for his old delivery horse, Dolly. After she refuses to eat for several days, they figure out what's wrong.

Opie's piano lessons clash with football practice.

Howard does a successful comedy act on a TV amateur hour telling jokes about the people in Mayberry. Everyone in town gets upset when they take the jokes seriously.

Howard volunteers to be a boy's 'Big Brother' but gets distracted by his pretty older sister.

Andy's feelings are hurt when Opie doesn't pick him as the subject of his high-school paper.

Goober holds a contest at the filling station. An error at the printer's causes one coupon to be worth $200 instead of $10 or less.
