The 'Baron' and his henchmen have all but isolated the town of Black Springs, with his men watching every road coming into the town. The citizens are so afraid of him and his gang that they are afraid to testify after having seen crimes committed. Kit & El Toro must wrest control from The Baron Of Black Springs and his men.

When a student discovers gold under the schoolhouse, Melody Flats' town boss and his henchmen try to jump the schoolmarm's claim. Kit and El Toro come to aid of the schoolteacher.

Boone Williams, the Curly-Haired Kid, has been released from prison and prepares to carry out threats he's made against Kit Carson and Judge Trumbull, the men who he blames for putting him in prison. While wearing clothes similar to Kit's he dry-gulches the Judge after arranging for the Judge's son to witness the crime with Kit nearby so he can be identified as the criminal. El Toro breaks Kit out of jail and the two men pursue Williams to the Panhandle with the Judge's son in pursuit.

Kit and El Toro try to break up an outlaw gang that uses a ghost town to cover a series of silver bullion robberies.

Kit and El Toro head south, Kit on business and his friend heading to a wedding. But Carson meets the Owens who have have been swindled out of their life's work. Kit takes on the villains headed by Devlin.

Kit finds a very young girl wandering in the desert on a pony. Her father had given her a claim to a gold mine, telling her to seek safety while he fought off Indians who were stealing the horses of passersby. While Kit & El Toro are attempting to help the girl, some unsavory characters are plotting to jump the claim, by any means.

When Janice Bryant's eeccentric uncle is murdered and his goods sold cheaply Kit comes to her assistance. Malee's behavior is viewed suspiciously but Kit needs proof to tie him to a notorious outlaw gang behind the killing.

After Kit and El Toro are robbed by a pair of crooked deputy sheriffs, the two men ride into town and learn that the sheriff is being forced to cooperate with an outlaw gang. A group of teenagers and the sheriff's lovely daughter help the heroes eliminate the crooks.

Kit Carson and El Toro travel to Marysville to bust a counterfeit stock certificate ring. The man selling the phony stocks is an ailing miner who mysteriously appears and disappears.

A crooked assayer and his henchman attempt to steal an old miner's claim by relocating its apparent entrance to a worthless mine-shaft.

Kit agrees to serve as a town's acting marshal and must fight a crooked businessman who plans to rig an election.
