In Bordeaux, Eva Pirès is pushed trough her Victory luxury hotel suite's roof window, but survives with amnesia. She was clasping a list of four female guests at a party in the hotel. The first, Véronique, is found death, probably pushed from a cliff. Police detective Stanislas Lamérat presumes it's a list of hired gun targets. The other three get together, hoping to save their lives by helping to find out the truth, even attending the funeral. They rather find out about each-other's secret, such as a lover being married.

Commissioner Stanislas Lamérat tries to protect the three surviving women on the last, but suspects they're hiding the truth even from him. Indeed, Marina's husband Daniel Devaux is beaten into hospital at home, and acts viciously on her kids' behalf. Juliette is desperate enough to compromise her job to raise a blackmail sum. Plastic surgeon Marina refuses to advance the sum, and seeks help from her ex's gay friend.

The three survivors are reluctant to help the commissioner's investigation by stimulating recovering Eva's memory. They are however becoming friends, sharing some secrets. A possible motives link: Marine scammed Yann Cholet into buying a bad house, Claude operated on his wife. Daniel refuses to file a formal complaint when the police claims to have identified his assailant. Juliette gets colleagues' help to track down her Internet stalker.

Commissioner Stanislas Lamérat's team becomes target of violence itself repeatedly, he nearly dies when a professional bomb explodes in his car. Marina still tells her husband nothing and discovers the Cholet couple actually made a fortune on the condemned property she sold them, so they have no motive. Juliette discovers the key to her neighbor's heart is his 10 year-old motherless rascal Nicholas, but babysitting him takes Marina's expertise. Claude starts examining confidential hospital files.

Commissioner Stanislas keeps courting Claude, despite the trio's persistent lying. Her theory Lionel is the link with Eva and Juliette is disproved, as well as Juliette's that he's her stalker. Mariana finally realizes she drove Daniel to have affairs because they had no love life in years. After childishly blaming her husband, she decides to become attractive again.

Stanislas Lamérat continues guarding and mistrusting the liars trio, also after the reconstruction. While dining with Claude, he can shoot mob hit-man Jean Hirsch to save them both. Daniel is shocked Marina killed the second dog and now denies him any physical contact. Claude approves her ex's gay wedding plans. Juliette considers Lionel's proposal but is explicitly called undesirable by his son and learns her stalker is colleague Marianne Hurel, who demands Lesbian sex or she'll expose her fake CV.

After the police confiscated Marina's letter to a mysterious, powerful protector, the commissioner knows her second identity is Isabella. She bitches at everyone after her neighbor refuses a welcome dinner, realizing she's a former whore. Marianne's tricks backfire, Juliette is promoted instead of fired as she is. She refuses to believe Lionel's fancy dinner with his rich ex Cécile while dropping off son Nicholas is innocent. Claude attend ex Gabriel and Laurent's gay alliance party.

Commissioner Stanislas finally executes his master plan, a semi-private agenda, yet involving an elaborate entrapment. The trio finally works out the link between them is no enemy but a benefactor. They attend Gabriel and Laurent's gay wedding. Marina comes to term with her present and past. Juliette discovers her secret career agenda is nothing compared to the big boss's real reason for promoting her.
