Arthur's business is threatened when Sofia (Diane Guerrero), an ambitious young entrepreneur, parks her organic food truck in front of the donut shop, becoming a hit with his customers and catching Franco's eye. Also, Franco grows frustrated trying to follow his dream of going to college.

When a video surfaces of Randy being aggressive during a traffic stop, Franco starts to question her abilities as a police officer. To prove that Randy is a good cop, Arthur agrees to Franco's request to tail her while she's on duty, and the night takes a dramatic turn.

Franco signs up to be a Big Brother but is disappointed when the kid, Andre (Jailen Bates), bonds more with Arthur than him.

When Franco decides to host an orphans' Thanksgiving at the donut shop, he encourages Arthur to invite his daughter, but Arthur will only agree if Franco invites his own estranged family member, his father.

After a fed-up Franco fires Arthur's longtime flour supplier for making offensive comments, Franco vows to find a more principled replacement, but the task proves to be more challenging than expected.

Franco considers giving up admission to his dream school after he learns Arthur included his ethnicity on the application despite Franco's desire to be accepted solely on the merits of his art.

In the spirit of the season, Franco convinces Arthur and the rest of the gang to help John, a homeless man who fells ill at the donut shop, to get back on his feet. Also, Tush and Sweatpants compete to become the more-popular Santa.

When Arthur suddenly decides to run against Fawz in a local election, his campaign manager, Franco, tries to help his boss bring home a win. Also Tush and Randy realize they crossed paths long before the donut shop, and the encounter was hardly sweet.

An admission from Franco and Sophia on the eve of their first Catering gig shocks Arthur and the gang. Also Randy and Tush take temp jobs as security guards, leading to an unexpected revelation about Fawz.

Randy wants to build her social media presence to combat her ex's great life. Sweatpants has to find a job or a new place to live.

Franco thinks that his first assignment for his art class is a masterpiece and is shocked when his professor does not agree. Arthur learns the identity of a customer who left a bad online review.

When Franco gets fed up with Fawz exploiting Black History Month for his business, he invites a Negro Baseball star to Superior Donuts.

When Fawz's son is hired by Arthur, Franco encourages him to follow his dreams of being a DJ. Sophia has to deal with unruly goats and other challenges when she organizes a carnival.

After Franco finds out that his new girlfriend, Tavi, is rich, he begins to wonder if she is only dating him to make herself look more progressive.

Ted, Randy's former supervisor, asks her to speak to a female rookie who has filed a sexual harassment complaint against him. The shop is visited by a new, by-the-books health inspector.

When Franco turns to Sofia for advice, Tavi begins to worry that he's still in love with her. Fawz goes undercover to discover a thief in one of his restaurants.

Arthur, a Cubs super-fan, is determined to break the consecutive attendance record for Opening Day games, but when he finds himself without a ticket, he's left scrambling for a way into Wrigley Field for the first time in 43 years.

Arthur's offer to teach Franco to drive hits a speed bump when a cop catches Arthur with an expired license. Also, Tush prepares to attend a princely wedding for his friend Harry.

With U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents conducting raids in Uptown, Sofia turns to Franco for help hiding her undocumented brother, Rafael (Erik Rivera), who faces deportation to Colombia. Also, Tush decides it's time to give up his daily sugar rush.

Fresh off making the Dean's List, Franco decides to apply for a prestigious art fellowship, but in order to win a semester studying in Italy, he must compete with his girlfriend, Tavi. Also, Randy gets more than she bargains for when she hires Tush as her personal assistant.

In the Season 2 finale, an armed robbery at the donut shop prompts Arthur, Franco and Sofia to make life-changing decisions about their futures.
