On the snowy planet Hoth, the Rebel Alliance, led by Luke, Leia, and a hesitant Han Solo, endure the bitter winter that persists. With the Empire in pursuit, the group faces threats from all corners of the galaxy, both off-planet and on-.

With hope instilled by the ghostly presence of his former mentor, Ben Kenobi, Luke continues on in the brutal cold winter of the ice planet Hoth. Tension rises back at Echo Base among the leaders of the Rebel Alliance, Leia and Han Solo.

Having found Luke on the vast snow-covered terrain of Hoth, Han Solo and he struggle to survive. Little do they know that the Rebel Alliance -- and the dastardly Empire -- will soon find them weakened and bruised.

So starts the Battle of Hoth as the Empire closes in on the Rebel Alliance, hidden within the icy caves of Echo Base. With their leaders scattered and beaten, the Rebels pursue a course of evacuation.

Fleeing from the Empire, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, and the droids make swift and decisive choices in their fight to stay alive. Luke, having broken from the group, fights off the remaining Empire on the ice-planet Hoth.

Luke Skywalker, on orders of his deceased mentor Ben Kenobi, makes his way to Dagobah to meet Yoda. As Luke becomes acquainted with his new mentor, Darth Vader, failing to capture Skywalker, consults his mentor, the evil Emperor.

Leia, Han, Chewbacca, and C-3PO set course for Bespin, home of an old friend of Han's where the group can lie low from Darth Vader, who seeks the help of bounty hunters to capture the Rebels. Luke continues training on Dagobah.

Leia, Han, and Chewbacca face new foes and learn that not every friend can be trusted. Luke, fearing for his friends, makes his way to Bespin.

Having been betrayed by his old friend, Lando, Han Solo is frozen in Carbonite and given to the bounty hunter Boba Fett. Leia and Chewbacca hope to escape as Luke, fearful for their safety, arrives in Cloud City on Bespin.

A desperate race to save friends. A face-off of the ages. A world-shaking revelation. This final chapter tests our heroes' hope, ability, and beliefs.
