The cadets barely have time to adjust to the arrival of Suzee when they find themselves under attack by Spung Killcruisers. Good news: they escape. Bad news: the Christa is damaged so badly by the Killcruisers that they wind up crash landing on an alien planet, unable to take off.

Rosie's adopting an apparently harmless creature called a Rhomby leads to disaster when Spung game hunters come in search of it. And if they can't hunt the Rhomby, then they'll settle for hunting the kids!

The kids discover a powerful communications probe that enables them to contact home. But their messages are overheard by Reaver the space pirate, who decides to capture them and the probe and sell them to the Spung.

While searching for items that might be useful in repairing the Christa, Harlan Band is captured by a race of little people called 'the Hil'. They confuse him for their King Colosso, who is prophesied to return and defeat the monster Raruru. Raruru is actually a scared little kid using a machine to mimic an angry monster. Harlan facilitates a friendship between the kid, Savano, and the Hil people, and gives up his crown.

Radu receives a warning in his dreams from Elmira the Spung princess that the Spung are on their way to obliterate the Christa... but he can't convince any of the others that it wasn't just his imagination. Besides, the rest of the crew is excited about having received a message that there are plans for a rescue mission... unfortunately the crew does not realize it's a Spung trick and they're actually running out of time!

Back out in space, the crew of the Christa is harassed by two kids making prank communications calls. But they don't realize that's the least of their worries: the big problem is that Rosie's new pet, Eaty, is living up to his name and eating anything and everything around him... including the Christa! MICHELLE TRACHTENBERG (HARRIET THE SPY) and DANNY TAMBORELLI (PETE & PETE) guest star.

A bizarre series of events results in the kids switching around their races and personalities: Radu becomes human, Harlan becomes Andromedan, Rosie becomes Uranian, Bova becomes a Mercurian, Suzee becomes an android and Thelma becomes alive! But they may not even have time to adjust to their strange new identities, because the ship is heading straight into Spung territory!

The Christa enters a strange area of space, where a mysterious entity called MA decides that she is going to take care of the kids, and be a mother to them... forever. Guest voice Katey Sagal.

Feeling that he's unappreciated, Bova hooks up with a promoter named Utz and becomes a media celebrity on the planet Glitz. But then he becomes a literal prisoner of his celebrity status, and it's up to the kids to rescue him... provided he still wants to go with them. ROBIN LEACH GUEST STARS AS UTZ.

The kids are trapped aboard a deserted science station, and face two major obstacles in getting off: a computer entity who wants Suzee to stay with her forever, and a revenge crazed Warlord Shank who wants to wipe them out for good. But things aren't much better ion the Christa, as Davenport, Bova and Rosie find themselves hunted by Thelma, who's gone completely berserk!
