A former Walk Street broker moves in with his brother Simon in an apartment in Harlem. In the opening episode Simon gets a job at a television network.

Libby asks Simon to go on a date.

Simon wins Duke's butler in a poker game.

Carl gets a job working as a hot dog vendor but when the cart is destroyed the owner comes after him demanding payment.

Carl's excitement over winning a sweepstakes is deflated when he sees that the prize is only a boat.

When the office forgets his birthday Mitch broods and Simon tries to show him he has a wonderful life.

After Simon complains about the pants he purchased at a clothing manufacturer an Irish immigrant worker (Carmen Thomas) is fired. When he learns she may be deported he marries her.

Simon is mistaken for a concert pianist at Carnegie Hall and must perform to a packed house which includes Mitch and his date.

Carl is bitten by a rat in his apartment and searches for the slumlord who turns out to be Duke.

Duke hires Carl to manage his properties and mistakenly takes along his brother Simon when evicting a sexy,deadbeat tenant who enchants him.

Simon tries to help a failing restaurant.

Carl and Simon are led to believe that the perfect Christmas gift for Duke is an original poster of the film Barbarella.

Simon takes on a surly water delivery man who has been causing trouble in the office.

Duke Stone goes on vacation and leaves Simon in charge and Carl's girlfriend, Chrisitne Chazen (Maria Bello), then plans a corporate take-over of the company,

Mitch Lowen does not play fair in a bet of a month's salary with Carl in a golf game.

Duke Stone gives the brothers a million dollars to invest and they purchase a hockey team.

Khrystine Haje plays a new employee in the building who enchants Carl.

Carl cannot believe that Simon has been bowling buddies with his ex-wife Vicky. Worst, Simon brings her to work and everybody loves her. Worst still, she goes on a date with Mitch.

Duke sometimes gives away MSG tickets to the executives. Simon is next getting the tickets. It's the Lipizzaner Stallions and Simon is excited. Carl sells off the tickets to Bernice, a scalper (Pat Crawford Brown) but then needs them back.

VTV needs younger demographics. Simon suggests bringing back Tinky the clown (Dom DeLuise). Carl hates Tinky and Libby hates clowns in general. Simon finds Tinky repairing shoes and still holding a grudge against the kid who got him fired.

Simon does his animal calls and a dog comes. It answers to the name Carl. Duke's dog Duchess is depressed unless she's with dog Carl. Simon decides to marry Duchess and dog Carl to show human Carl real commitment.
