Hong Ji Ah is an exorcist who gets rid of unrested spirits to sell houses. Oh In Beom is a fake exorcist who calls himself a doctor of the paranormal to scam people. They serendipitously run into each other one day.

Ji Ah keeps trying to persuade In Beom to work as her psychic for just one case, but he keeps refusing. Despite their differences, they keep meeting at a crossroad, and they don't know where it leads.

Thinking the death of Ji Ah's mother has something to do with his uncle's death, In Beom is determined to work with Ji Ah. Despite her refusal to continue working with a fraud, Secretary Joo persuades Ji Ah.

Ji Ah closes the Britium case with the help of In Beom. He experiences side effects from the possession of Byung Ho's spirit. Although all his efforts to deal with the side effects were meaningless, he soon comes up with another plan.

Ji Ah runs into an unrested spirit that is haunting the chairman of Dohak Construction. She immediately recognizes him. Meanwhile, Ji Ah and In Beom visit Green Vila for another case.

Ji Ah is reminded of what happened 20 years ago, but this time with a boy whose face she can't see. Later, Ji Ah and In Beom head back to the sauna to perform the exorcism.

Chairman Do gets a taste of his sinful past and does a background check on Daebak Realty. Ji Ah wants to know more about her mother's case that happened 20 years ago and meets with Mr. Jung.

Ji Ah blatantly blames In Beom for the missing 1979 Record of Exorcism while he has to deal with his van getting robbed clean. Later, a new client comes asking for help.

After finding out a shocking truth, Ji Ah tells In Beom to get lost and never return. Meanwhile, Ji Cheol meets his girlfriend for the first time, who happens to be encountering a vengeful spirit.

Do Hak Sung loses his patience with Daebak Realty and sends in his men once again. Ji Ah is determined to get rid of Oh Sung Shik's unrested spirit so that she can find out the truth about her mother's death.

Ji Ah can't comprehend how her mother saved her life when she can't be outside Daebak Realty. To find the truth, Ji Ah puts up Daebak Realty on a silver platter for Do Hak Sung.

Although the exorcism was a success, the memories absorbed by In Beom don't have any answers to Ji Ah's quest of setting her mother free. Meanwhile, In Beom visits his grandmother.

Ji Ah wakes up devastated after learning the truth about what happened 20 years ago that caused her to lose her mother. In Bum also learns the truth from Secretary Joo, and in return, he tells her what she meant to Ji Ah.

Ji Ah realizes that she is the one who has been holding her mother back from leaving. In Bum overhears her, and convinces Ji Ah to let him and Ji Cheol stay with her until they find a place to stay.

Do Hak Sung gets released from police custody and makes his way to Scruffy. However, it doesn't take long for Ji Ah and In Bum to find the secret ledger and putting him back on the wanted list. Meanwhile, an egg ghost appears.

Ji Cheol and Secretary Joo arrive just in time to scare off Do Hak Sung. While trying to run away, he bumps into the wrong person and plummets to his death.
