Joe fears the Hobbs men suffer from a curse when he prepares for a date with Amanda. David hides a necklace for Marcus but Amy mistakenly thinks it for her.

David thinks that the house is cluttered and asks everyone to make some sacrifices; Kevin tracks down another "See Dad Run" fan.

David lets Joe play hooky; feeling guilty, Joe reveals the truth; Amy and Emily want to learn which neighbor is not cleaning up after their dog.

David thinks Emily is not ready to drive when his coaching makes her nervous; Janie discovers that Dr. Monkey Chunks was run over in the driveway.

After being forbidden to drive at night, Emily takes Amy's car and goes to a party; Joe wants more responsibility.

David takes Joe's scout troop on a camping trip with help from his old crew.

After Joe's favorite teacher quits to follow his dream, David tries to get the teacher back.

David decides to help Joe build a tree house; Emily gets her first job on Amy's set.

David has a hard time leaving Janie at school and becomes room mom. When he realizes how much work it is, he causes mayhem to get out of it. Meanwhile, Joe runs away from a scary older student on his first day of 7th grade.

When Janie refuses to follow David's rules, she runs away to Marcus' house and David tries everything to get her to come back home. Meanwhile, Emily tries to take advantage of Joe to get close to his new older friend.

David's former co-star who he fired from the show becomes Joe's slightly unhinged Spanish tutor. When Joe's grades suffer, David gets her a job on Amy's soap opera, where things go from bad to worse. Guest Star: Daniella Monet

David challenges a wrestler to a televised event in order to impress Joe and his friends.

David finally impresses his father-in-law by serving on jury duty; the children must go through the Major's boot camp.

Still trying to avoid her boss, Amy is forced to deal with him directly when Emily competes in a beauty pageant against his daughter. Joe is forced to enlist Kevin and Marcus as video game teammates leading to some interesting gardening.

David tries to make Joe realize he needs to complete things and agrees to jump out of a plane if Joe complete a project.

Janie invites David's mother and Amy's father to attend grandparents' day at her school; David demands that his mother and Amy's father stop fighting and try to get along.

When David begins acting differently around Janie, she becomes worried that she is going to be given away; Joe and Amy are trapped in an elevator with Joe's hero.

After rushing makes David run over Joe's science project and Emuily's foot, he fears becoming a home dad just made life worse for him and his family. While exhausted desperate David re-watches series episodes, his guardian angel character drags him into an alternate reality where he remained the ever-absent TV star, promoting Kevin to studio boss with his own slavish PA. Joe is happy with the family's new nanny, David's ex-rival ted McGinly, whom he even calls dad, while Amy got addicted to plastic surgery and Emily as clingy as insecure, desperate for paternal ...

David finally accepted to star in a cop detective action movie, so the whole family follows him to the New York set, where they prove the crew's nightmare, wrecking nearly every scene, while Marcus's attempts to come up with a smashing ending are cheap and unfit ripoffs. Emily swoons for already desperately insecure hunky co-star Nick, Joe pigs out a the catering, every Kevin's attempt to film a making-off runs wild. After they accidentally ruin the expensive stunt scene, Amy takes the kids home, but dropping by at a bank they are taken hostage by clowns, who turn out...
